How To Write Killer Ads
when we’re talking about Bing ads then copy really comes in to play in a few different places one is obviously the ad so I actually think that copywriting isn’t super important at this point I guess my impression of copywriting was that you had to create some sort of magical ad and what I found out through experience at least with Google and Bing is that you really don’t have to create a magical ad which is good news the magical had the good copywriting in Bing and Google at least at the ad level is literally in my experience the best thing to do is just to take whatever they search for word and the keyword and put it in the ad that’s like it makes the search engine happy it gets really high click-through rate etc now where copy writing is very important is everything that happens after the click so before or during the click the ad in my experience on the Bing platform and on and on AdWords it’s really not that special it’s not about creating some you know magical emotion like even like I was saying before it’s really just about relevance that’s the one word that you need to remember when you want to write ads in Bing is just relevance how relevant is it to what that person searched for so you can see in this example our keywords are you know we created a very tight ad group that’s all based just around the keywords tactical pen survival pen they don’t get too far away from that and and so the ad really just has to say whatever they’re searching for I mean the world’s greatest that could probably be improved that was just you know I was on the call and I just needed something there but whatever it made us say hello so obviously it didn’t have to be all that great plus free is you know really compelling as well but the most that’s so in my opinion add the ads aren’t really that important but the best way to get ideas for what you might want to write in the ad is to do what we call ad hacking which you probably are familiar with and there should be a blueprint here in the members area just re explaining the concept but you can basically go look in the Bing search and we already did this before as well but it’s always the best way to get you know exactly what you should say in your ad is just look at what other people in that niche are putting in their hat so for example I just was trying to look for another product here from Clickbank to to create some traffic to and I saw this power efficiency guide I looked at the stats I did some keyword research and it looks like it’s trending pretty hard it kind of went from it doesn’t exist to it seems to be trending right now July August September 2000 searches a month and searches for just power efficiency guides so people are searching for that actual product so I just created a little ad campaign for it power efficiency guide but what I noticed I went in and I typed that keyword this keyword into Bing doing doing some ad hacking here and I typed in power efficiency guide and the first ad that came up what are they emphasizing with this well obviously we’re trying to target the the product itself we’re not really speaking to the whole niche we’re really just targeting people who already know about the product and they’re looking for reviews or something so when I type that in the first ad it just says official get eighty five percent off today order now so if you’re just promoting a product then and you look you know this says review does it really work so these are two things that are important to somebody who’s searching for the name of a product right that they’re getting a discount that they need a review does it really work I’m guessing this one goes to a review page and this one goes like right to the sales page this says this has a price on it $19 only 71% off today so discounts seem really important if you’re searching for just a product price seems really important the name of the product seems really important but that’s always true so yeah that’s one example of AD hacking we’ve already done some some ad hacking in different niches but basically you always just want to if you’re investigating a niche just look into that niche and see what people are searching for if you’re looking for a dog walking near me then you can see you know what your competition is here what they’re emphasizing ten best dog walking services let’s look at locksmith 24/7 that seems really important for locksmiths professionals that you probably need to trust them to open your your car 24/7 emergency so that’s probably when people call and call a locksmith is when it’s an emergency the lock and key professionals $35 so you can put the price in there two-minute dispatch so they’re telling you don’t worry it won’t take very long so really add hacking is you know the way that you’re gonna get your your copywriting ideas so combine ad hacking with relevancy trick the relevancy trick basically just feed the keywords back to them that they’re searching for word if they’re searching for emergency locksmith then you should definitely make an ad that says emergency locksmith now the reason I want to have Connor on here is to talk about what happened is after the ad so the ad in my opinion is pretty simple to write you just combine put the keyword in the ad especially in the headline and then as many times as you can also in the rest of the ad and that’s a pretty good ad for Bing it doesn’t have to be crazy doesn’t have to like have some super magical copywriting powers or whatever it just has to basically say what whatever it is they’re searching for give it to them now what happens after the page on like your landing page or your opt-in is a different story so that’s the ad hacking so
