Add Post Navigation to WordPress Posts

Adding post navigation to your WordPress posts can help readers move between relevant content, allowing them to explore more of what you have to offer.

By default, WordPress has a simple post navigation menu which provides “Previous Post” and “Next Post” links when enabled. In this article, we’ll show you how to add these links in WordPress posts.

First, you’ll need to open your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Settings > Reading.

Here you’ll find an option that reads “Show Post Navigation”. Check this box and save your changes.

Next, you’ll want to edit the post in which you’d like to add post navigation links. At the bottom of the post editor page, you should now see a section called “Post Navigation”. Here you’ll have four options:

-Previous Post – This will display the link to the previous post in chronological order.
-Nearest Previous and Next Posts – This will display links to both the previous and next posts.
-Next Post – This will display the link to the next post in chronological order.
-Random Posts – This will display a link to a randomly selected post.

Once you’ve chosen your options, click “Update Post” and your links should be visible at the bottom of each post!

With this simple edit, readers can now easily navigate through your posts on WordPress.

If you want to add post navigation to your WordPress posts, there are a few different ways you can do it.

One way is to add post navigation manually. To do this, you’ll need to edit your theme’s code. If you’re not comfortable doing this, you can ask a developer to help you.

Another way to add post navigation is to use a plugin. There are a few different plugins you can use, but we recommend using Post Navigation by AddThis.

This plugin is easy to use and it’s free. Just install and activate the plugin, and then go to the settings page to configure it.

Once you’ve configured the plugin, it will automatically add post navigation to your WordPress posts.
