Are you looking to delete WordPress posts in bulk? Maybe you have a lot of old content that is no longer relevant, or perhaps you just need to start fresh with a new theme or design. Whatever the reason, deleting posts in WordPress can be done quite easily.

In this article, we will show you how to bulk delete WordPress posts from your site. This can be done from the WordPress admin dashboard or using a plugin.

Before we proceed, we should mention that it is always a good idea to create a backup of your WordPress site before making any major changes.

Deleting posts from the WordPress admin dashboard

The first method we will cover is deleting posts from the WordPress admin dashboard. This method is good for small sites with a few posts that need to be deleted.

To get started, log into your WordPress site and go to the Posts page. Here you will see a list of all the posts on your site.

To delete a WordPress post, simply hover over it and click the Trash link. This will move the post to the Trash folder.

To delete the WordPress post permanently, you will need to go to the Trash folder and click the Empty Trash button.

You can also delete posts in bulk from the Posts page. To do this, simply select the posts you want to delete and select the Delete action from the Bulk Actions dropdown.

Then click the Apply button and WordPress will delete the selected posts.

Deleting posts using a WordPress plugin

The second method we will cover is deleting posts using a WordPress plugin. This is a good method for sites with a lot of posts that need to be deleted.

There are a few plugins that can help you delete posts in WordPress. We will be using the Bulk Delete plugin in this example.

First, you will need to install and activate the Bulk Delete plugin. For more details, see our article on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Once the plugin is activated, go to Bulk Delete -> Posts/Pages in the WordPress admin sidebar.

On the Bulk Delete settings page, select the post type that you want to delete. For this example, we will be deleting posts.

Next, select the Status, date, and number of posts that you want to delete. In this example, we will delete all posts that are more than 1 year old.

Then click the Delete Posts button and the plugin will delete the selected posts.

That’s it! You have successfully deleted WordPress posts in bulk from your site.
