If you’ve ever installed WordPress, you know that by default it displays a message at the bottom of each page that says, “Powered by WordPress.” If you’re running a website for a business, or just want to brand your site with your own personal message, then you’ll want to remove that default text and replace it with something else.

Luckily, there’s a very easy way to change the “Powered by WordPress” text in your footer. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

2. Go to the Appearance section and click on the Editor link.

3. On the right hand side, look for the Theme Footer (footer.php) file and click on it.

4. Find the line of code that says “Powered by WordPress” and delete it.

5. Replace it with your own message, such as “Copyright Your Name Here.”

6. Save your changes.

That’s all there is to it! Now when someone visits your site, they’ll see your own personal message in the footer instead of the default “Powered by WordPress” text.
