Are you looking to add a floating sidebar widget to your WordPress site? Sidebar widgets are a great way to add extra content and features to your site, and can help increase engagement and click-throughs.

However, if you’ve ever tried to add a sidebar widget to your site, you know that they can often be “sticky” – meaning, they may scroll down the page with the rest of the content, or they may stay locked in place.

Adding a sticky sidebar widget can be a great way to keep your widget visible to users as they scroll down the page, and can be a valuable tool for increasing engagement and conversions.

In this article, we’ll show you how to create a sticky sidebar widget in WordPress.

First, you’ll need to install and activate the Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) plugin. For more information, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Upon activation, you’ll need to visit the Appearance » Widgets page. Here you’ll see your site’s existing widgets in the available widgets section.

You can now start adding your widgets to the sidebar. Simply drag and drop the widget you want to make sticky into the active sidebar.

Once you’ve added all the widgets you want, click on the save button to store your changes.

Now that you’ve added your widget to the sidebar, it’s time to configure the plugin settings.

Head over to the Settings » Q2W3 Fixed Widget page to configure the plugin settings.

The first setting you need to configure is the sticky widget behavior. You can choose to have the widget always visible on the screen, or you can choose to have it visible only when the user scrolls down the page.

If you want the widget to be visible all the time, you can choose the “Display sticky widget on all pages” option.

If you want the widget to be visible only when the user scrolls down the page, you can choose the “Display sticky widget on specific pages” option.

This option will display a list of all the pages and posts on your site. You can then select the checkbox next to the pages where you want the sticky widget to appear.

Once you’ve made your selection, click on the “Save Changes” button to store your changes.

That’s all there is to it! You have successfully added a sticky sidebar widget to your WordPress site.
