let’s talk about low click-through rate so if you have a low click-through rate like less than 1% so here are some of the possible causes 1 you have an irrelevant ad maybe you’re using too general of a phrasing and you’re terminal in your headline maybe it’s just not compelling or maybe you’re not following the guidelines in the rest of the QuickStart guide you’re not doing ad hacking to find what’s actually working you’re not using good copy you you know if you’re just writing you know the name of the homepage or whatever that’s probably why so that that’s one cause and it’s an irrelevant ad or your ads are being shown for search phrases that are just not relevant so the example that I use is when I was promoting clickfunnels and I was showing up for a TV show called funnel vision those are completely irrelevant I’m talking about marketing they’re trying to find a kids TV show so the click-through rate was pretty low which goes back to the ad group keywords not being tight enough I talked about this a lot in the course if you want more go check out the rest of the course this is a problem I see a lot that causes very low click-through rate is people will just load up their campaigns with broad match keywords they’ll be like and I used to do this too I did it for a long time it’s actually how I ended up learning how this platform actually works as I was making the mistake while managing a client an account I just kept adding broad match keywords because I thought well let’s get more and more traffic it’s doing really well terrible idea don’t do that stick to a couple broad match just stick to one if you’re following this QuickStart guide to get to get going don’t have more than one broad match keyword in an ad group that can cause really low click-through rate oh yeah we talked about so ad copy not relevant ad hacking will help you with this and then studying copywriting and and practicing writing headlines will really help to write better headlines like clicks better so what what you should do there’s a few things you should do create a new campaign that goes back to the basics and starts with one idea and has one broad match keyword if your ad is irrelevant then go back to ad hacking looking what’s working in that particular niche and model what’s working you can also try the keyword bracket trick to just literally take exactly what they search and put it into the headline that can increase conversions by quite a look through it by quite a lot also this is the kind of more inspiration like this is where you should be heading this is where your mindset set should be going instead of how do I do the least amount of work to get to make a quick buck you should be thinking how do I become a badass [ __ ] in marketing and start to learn better copy and split test new ads and start thinking how could I get more people interested in this product so that’s where you want to be going eventually so start with the headline that’s gonna be David Ogilvy advertising legend said that 80 percent or 80 cents of every advertising dollar is spent on the headline so the headline is the most important thing if you nail the headline then people often don’t even read the rest I mean some people do it’s all numbers game but start with the headline if you don’t know where if you if it so overwhelming to work on the whole ad just start split testing new ads it’s super easy to just click new ad and create a new one and it will the system will automatically start split testing them against each other so that you can split test your way to success
