3 Strategies For Bing + Clickbank
welcome back welcome back in this video in the Clickbank Secrets bonus we’re gonna talk about the three strategies for making Bing and Clickbank work alright so the first strategy is direct linking so this is basically you know direct linking from an ad to a Clickbank product and you know not having any landing page not collecting any leads and building a list I’m not trying to do anything other than just send them directly to the offer and this is you know a lot of people are very interested in this because it’s like kind of the simplest to wrap your mind around to make this work and this is a mistake I’ve seen a lot of people make is they try to sort of wing it without a tracking software that’s just never it’s not gonna work you might make a quick you know you might get lucky and like you know make some conversions and you might even be profitable a little bit in the beginning but as the campaign runs things are gonna start you know days are gonna be inconsistent and you’re gonna freak out and not know what’s wrong and not know what’s working so you’re not gonna be able to improve it at all so anyways you absolutely must have a tracking software I recommend clickmagick there are similar project of products out there if you’re more familiar with them go for it but if not definitely check out clickmagick mmm it’s so you know simple and relatively easy to set up and it does everything that you need if you’re not using a tracking software then you are wasting your time and money so just have to reiterate that a lot the secret to direct linking is tracking and then actually looking at the results finding what’s working finding was not working cutting out the stuff that’s not working and getting more of the stuff that is working I’ll explain that a bit more in a second so the game for direct linking is optimization and the reason is you only have the before the click leverage points you have ad groups that you can create keywords obviously inside those ad groups you have big I think I’m in instead of demos I meant Gio’s like you have big you can you can choose different countries and stuff as far as I know there’s no way to you know in a tracking software figure out what state or city they’re in if you’re doing affiliate marketing so you can only track by country so but you but that is a big leverage point that you can use because different countries convert differently to different Clickbank products you can also leverage devices so certain devices are going to convert better or worse for different offers and different keywords and all that stuff keywords obviously that’s a big part of everything that we do here ad network if you’ve watched the other videos you know there’s a difference between the syndicated and the Bing Network and that can make a huge difference one of them could be converting really well the other one could be converting terribly and if you’re just running both of them in the same group with no tracking you’re not you’re never gonna know which one’s converting so this is why you have to have a tracking software and then of course ad copy you know better copy can sell more you must watch all of these this is the game this is the optimization game you have to watch as you start getting conversions you have to watch which of these things are working and which ones are not so let’s talk about an overview of the direct linking strategy some pros and cons so one Pro is why most people are interested in it it’s simple it’s fast to set up another Pro is that there are no costs other than clicks and the tracking software you don’t have to pay for landing page software or web hosting or an email autoresponder service or anything like that it’s just you know spend money on clicks hopefully make more money from sales another Pro is there’s no personal affiliation with the product you really don’t have to kind of put yourself out there as far as you don’t have to put your face on it you don’t have to really associate yourself with it at all other than the Commission’s that you make so you can kind of get into you know really any niche that you want and you know you don’t have to like spend your life devoted to that niche you can just send traffic and make money and that’s another reason that people are really enticed by this business model another Pro is that like I just said you can replicate the same process across hundreds probably thousands or tens of thousands of products all over well I don’t know if there are tens of thousands of products on Clickbank but there are thousands and if it if the process works for one it could work for all of the others so once you figure it out you can keep you know just roll into the next product another Pro is that a winning product can be automated so once you get a decent campaign going in search traffic it’s not like other traffic sources we’ve talked about this before it’s pretty consistent for the most part you know there’s certain products that are more seasonal than others etc but for the most part it’s pretty consistent and you know once you set up a good campaign you can kind of roughly on average make the same amount of money per you know per day or per month or whatever so some of the some of the cons though because a lot of people really do there’s like I want to do direct linking well let’s think about some of the cons one you really have no control if the the person who you know controls that offer decides to not let certain affiliates promote it anymore or they decide that you can’t compete with the no on bing or they decide to change the copy and it doesn’t work for you as well anymore or they put something on their page that Bing doesn’t allow or something like that you really have no control over it so you’re just kind of like existing by the grace of the product owner and so that is definitely accountant and you also have no you no control over anything that happens after ordering or I guess just after the click so you can’t can’t you can’t increase conversions through landing page optimization you can’t you know increase your opt-in rate and then have you know a lot a longer term return from your list you really just have to make it work with the clicks so another con is there’s no chance to increase lifetime value or long-term value so that’s what I was just talking about there’s no there’s no chance to you know make more money on the back end like you could with if you had a list another con is it’s not a long-term asset you’re not really building a business you’re just kind of building a strategy that works for a while things are gonna change offers are gonna change traffic is gonna change you might get more competition and if any of those things happens you really happen you really have no control and you kind of have to just keep going from offered offer another con there are a few leverage points for optimization I’ve mentioned this a bunch of different times in a lot of different ways but yeah if you want to increase your conversions you only have the before the click things that we talked about before you can’t manipulate other parts of the funnel another con is that you’re always chasing hot new hot offers so you kind of have to just state like if you you actually do your business is staying up to date on offers and continuing to do the same strategy on new products so you know it’s not just a one-time thing and then all sudden you never have to worry about it again you have to continually you know work on your campaigns watch them improve them etc so here’s the strategy if you want to do direct linking to Clickbank from bing then you need to get click magic or like I said you could you can try one of the other alternatives but I’m just gonna assume that you’re gonna use click magic and if you’re you know tech savvy enough to use something else then go for it just use the same advice get quick magic integrate it with Clickbank there’s training in there tutorials about it just search for Clickbank and they will literally like walk you through it with videos watch the tutorial below this video on getting the settings right for click Bank and click magic integration I actually made a little checklist that I’ll put below this so you can you know every time you go to set up a new campaign then you can double-check the checklist and see if you got all the settings correct also watch the video that I made on YouTube showing you know kind of step by step how to do it and then you know this is in that video and on the checklist but just make sure that you’re tracking keywords devices and the search query and I show you how to do that in the video below the next part of the strategy is using your Bing skills that you’ve learned from going through the Bing ads bootcamp 2.0 you’re gonna create tight ad groups as usual you know you should know what that means by now you should know that that means usually one or maybe just a couple broad match keywords and then you know a number of phrase match keywords and then a lot of exact match keywords so keep it tight keep them focused on one single theme and you know just just as normal just as I’ve shown in the entire course how to do it for any type of business so the next thing you’re going to do is you’re gonna watch for conversions in clickmagick so this is the most exciting part is when you start getting conversions and you’re like oh my gosh it actually works so when you start get conversions you’re gonna have to look at what’s working and again make sure that you’re tracking all of these things all the things that I said here you’re tracking keywords devices and search query without those things you’re not gonna have much data to work on and you’re gonna be lost on the days that you’re not profitable you’re not gonna know why and you might have golden buried treasure in your campaigns as I say but you won’t know why or you don’t know you won’t know where it is and you won’t know how to find it and you won’t know how to get more of it so you have to have the tracking so when you start getting versions start looking for what’s working and cut what isn’t you don’t have to worry much about you know collecting leads or you know people landing on your website or whatever because you’re sending them directly to the offer so once it’s once that person clicks it’s out of your hands so it shouldn’t you know you shouldn’t mind at all just cutting the stuff that’s not working you don’t need to send traffic to this offer that isn’t gonna convert that’s not in your interests so just look just be pretty ruthless about cutting what isn’t working if there’s a geo you know in this case would be a country so if you run into a bunch of different countries and one of the countries you know isn’t converting as well as the other ones well then just pause it turn it off for now and don’t worry about it work on the ones that are working same with search queries if there are certain search queries coming up that you can’t are not going to convert or they’re just not converting over time then add them to the negative keyword in in Bing and add them as a negative keyword or just pause them look for ads that are working better than others sometimes an ad will be a breakout in an ad group and that’ll be tracked and clickmagick as well if you set it up correctly look for devices this one’s really important it’s pretty common that different devices convert differently for Clickbank products so people on tablets might convert way better than people on desktop and you have to know that you can’t just be you know sending them all through the same campaigns and just hoping it’s going to work you need to be able to see if mobile let’s say you know on mobile you’re getting an average earning per click of 30 cents and then on desktop you’re getting an average earning % earning per click of 10 cents but then on tablet you’re getting an average earning per click of 60 cents well then you can go ahead and create a campaign that’s just tablet pause the other one and now you’re probably going to be much more profitable just focusing on tablets so that’s the game that’s the direct linking game and the other one is the search Network is it on bing or syndicated that can be a huge difference as well you have to watch that sometimes just turning off the one that’s not working will instantly make you profitable or much more profitable isolate what working search queries in your ad group so look in the search query data as your conversions roll in and then take those go back to Bing and put them in or pull them out as exact matches I show you how to do that in there in the rest of the training just again keep what’s working cut what isn’t be ruthless about it and then scale up what is working if if tablets are working really well then tried tablets you know or if it’s working really well in one country then start it off I would actually start it off brand new in an in another country and then look for the patterns in that country because maybe in that country mobile is going to convert the best so you can cut desktop and and tablet so scale up what’s working so let’s move on to the second strategy this is using a landing page so the strategy you create a bridge landing page in between the ad and the Clickbank product ideally this bridge is pre selling the offer taking someone who is cold or warm and turning them hot this isn’t as complicated as it sounds it can be pretty simple so one of the pros of this strategy is it gives you a new lever to increase conversions if you split test your landing page and get the right combination of things you can literally double or triple your conversions from the exact same traffic to the exact same offer another pro is it gives you more control over your campaigns you actually can have an effect on the conversion whereas if your direct linking you really don’t after you send the click there’s nothing you can do another Pro is that this can take an otherwise unprofitable campaign and make it sing another pro is a chance to add retargeting pixels you can put retargeting pixels on your landing page collect in a retarding audience that you could then you know show ads on Facebook that are they’re gonna be super qualified because you know that they clicked on a keyword in Bing so you know what they’re interested in you could target it with other networks as well so let’s sum let’s talk about some of the cons one leveraging this requires some copy knowledge like copywriting if you don’t know it all who is interested in the product you might not know how to you know create a page that will work another con is there’s still no long term asset being built you’re not really building a business but you are building your skill set and you can definitely make a lot of money a con another con is it takes more effort to build good landing pages than it does to simply direct link to the offer itself and another con could be you might be hurting your conversions if you don’t create a good landing page just because you create a landing page doesn’t mean you’re necessarily going to convert better in an ideal world you would test a landing page versus a direct link versus an opt-in so here’s the landing page strategy first you’re gonna start with ad hacking and funnel hacking which we’ve covered in the rest of the course so that you know what kind of landing pages are already working look look around it who else is sending ads and see what their landing pages look like don’t copy them but model them take what’s working you know look at what they’re emphasizing with their headline you know the images they use the color schemes etc tracking is still essential you still need clickmagick and you need to it’s a little more complicated to set it up with a landing page but it’s just a couple more steps and I have instructions on how to do that once again you’re gonna get clickmagick you’re gonna connect it to clickbank go to their tutorial watch how to do it you’re gonna get a landing page builder I’ll show you my favorite ones below it doesn’t really matter which one you use then you’re gonna watch the tutorials through tutorial videos on setting up a landing page with clickmagick and you must pass a tracking cookie through it so basically this is what happens someone clicks on your ad from Bing they land on your landing page and click magic sent your tracking data like the ad that they clicked on the keyword the search phrase the device etc and then it lands on the landing page but you need to put a little bit of code on the landing page so then click magic can send it again over to the clickbank offer and then if it converts it’ll send it back to quick magic you might sound a little complicated but there’s instructions on how to do it below next thing is create a landing page and I’ll show you the strategy for creating landing pages on the next slide you’re gonna take your landing page builder of choice I like all of them below I’ve used all of them I think they’re all great it really doesn’t matter so here’s the strategy for creating landing pages in this strategy you want to start simple and you know it doesn’t have to be super complicated to be pretty pretty simple you want to borrow heavily from the sales page that you’re sending them to you want to take the same headlines pain points images and testimonials so it becomes pretty easy to create at least a decent starting point landing page by just taking what the affiliate offer has and using the exact same things if it works to you know their millions of cold traffic people from all over the world then it probably will work to people on bing – they’re the same people so the same headlines are going to appeal to those people the same images are going to appeal and you know we talked about in earlier part of this bonus that it’s the job of the Clickbank offer owner to continually see what works for conversions so you should borrow from that and take advantage of the work that they’ve done for you and it will make creating landing pages much easier so you can take the same headlines or very similar headlines the same pain points that they talked about on the sales page the same images same testimonials as long as you’re promoting their offer they shouldn’t mind that you can ask them if you want to be sure but they probably won’t mind or you can just kind of try to be as close as possible the simple form of a landing page like this would just be a headline with an image or a video thumbnail from that you took from the affiliate product sales page and then a button below to say learn more so this is gonna be different for every single niche but it really doesn’t have to be more complicated than that at least to get started then later you could start try split testing different options if you wanted to try to increase your conversions so for a product based approach you’re gonna want to focus on the features and benefits of the product itself like the price of the product the discounts the bonus is the product images and the testimonials so we talked in the previous video about product base versus niche base and so if you’re creating landing pages about a product then you want it to be about the product you don’t need necessarily need to keep talking about all the problems you just have to you know talk about how awesome the product is the bonus is it comes with the crazy discount you’re getting show some images maybe some testimonials and that’s pretty good though that person remember has already can is convinced that they may are very likely interested in the product already so you just helping them over that last little bit can work really well for a niche based approach focused on the pain and the problems of the niche again they don’t really care necessarily about a product yet they want to find an answer to their problem or to their desire so you just want to focus on the pain and the problems with the niche or the desire whichever is emphasized on the sales page just check the sales page of the can the Clickbank offer and see what they emphasize and you should emphasize the same thing and then offer a link to the sales page as education on solving the problem with a button or a an image now let’s talk about strategy number three which is list building this is where you’re gonna build an email list imagine that it works with the niche based approach and it doesn’t really work with a product based approach it doesn’t really make sense to build a list about people who are interested in buying a certain product it’s gonna be a really small audience and you’re kind of just like adding a layer of friction that doesn’t need to exist at that point you’re gonna be building a list of people who are very likely to be interested in your product and then writing emails to sell that product and then more similar products this is a crazy way to get a lot more money out of your your dollar on bing if you can make one sale you could probably make three or four or ten more sales from the same person down the road if you’re collecting them and putting them on an email list once again tracking is still essential but in this case it’s a little different now instead of tracking you know earnings per click versus cost per click which we covered at the beginning of the Bing ads course different tracking or different ways to judge your success now we’re tracking cost per lead versus earnings per Li so now we want to know how much you know from each ad from each keyword from each ad group etc from each country all that stuff we want to know how much did it cost per lead from each of those things and on average how much do I make for every lead that comes on to my list what’s my average earning per lead so you’re gonna have to do some calculations there and this will be an aggregation of all the affiliate products that you sell them once they sign up on your list for now as far as I understand it there’s no need for third-party tracking like clickmagick basically you’re gonna set up a Bing tracking system like in the conventional way so you’re gonna track leads as a conversion in Bing and since you own your opt-in page and you own your Thank You page after they opt-in then you can put code on both of those you can put your Bing code there and then you can set up set that up as a conversion so you’re gonna track leads inside of being one of the pros of this strategy is you can track lead conversions in Bing like I said it’s kind of you know how its intended and it will be really really easy for you to see what’s working and what’s not from right inside Bing you don’t need a third-party solution to tell you what you know devices what keywords what ads or whatever you’ll see that all and being another pro is that you’re building a long-term asset this actually is an asset in a business you could actually you know have these people on your list for years and you could make money from promoting affiliate products if you do it the right way for a long long time and the more people you have on the list the more money you’re gonna make another Pro is that you can control many points of leverage you have control over the copy on the landing page you have control over all of the you know settings in Bing obviously and then you have control over the email copy that you send out you have control over the relationship that you build with them and another pro is that you can sell more than one product to the same person this is how you can make a lot more money another Pro is a big enough list can get you special privileges to Clickbank vendors so we talked about that a lot in the earlier part of this bonus and basically the bigger the list you have the more interested Clickbank vendors are in giving you special treatment so building a list is very very valuable one of the cons is that you have to offer an opt-in that they crave you have to learn how to create good opt-ins for every single niche that you want to promote you can’t just toss up some garbage I mean you probably will get some conversions so that’s nice but if you really want to do it well you’re gonna have to come up with an opt-in that they really want which is gonna take a little bit more effort another con is that you need an email autoresponder service you shouldn’t see this as a con but if hey if you don’t want to build lists then that would be that would be a con you’d have to you know you have to pay for another service another con is that you have you need to write and set up emails maybe you want to do the direct linking thing because this doesn’t sound interesting to you at all even if you did make more money maybe you just don’t want to do it or don’t want to pay somebody to do it another con is that tracking beyond the opt-in gets kind of tricky so you kind of have to do your own tracking as far as I know maybe there are some sophisticated ways to set up a system which could track all of your affiliate conversions but as far as I’ve seen I have not been able to find that so once they get on your list all of your tracking is sort of done in Bing and then you have to keep track of how much money you make per lead you know if you make a thousand dollars in a month then you have to go back and say well how many leads did I get so if you made a thousand dollars and you got 500 leads then you made two dollars per lead and now you have to go back in your Bing and say okay I made two dollars per lead on average how much did they cost me and then you see Oh on average it cost me a dollar fifty per lead to get a lead and actually some of my ad groups it only cost me thirty cents to get a lead maybe I want to turn off all the ad groups except for that one because that one’s you know getting leads for 30 cents and on average I know that I’m making $2 so that’s that’s the strategy to win and realm but tracking gets a little tricky the con is another con is that it’s not really a great option for every niche so there are certain niches that people don’t really want to be on a list for they don’t want to hear about it they’re not passionate about the niche they just wants a problem solved and so they’re not very likely to give you an email address for that so here’s the strategy you’re gonna set up conversion tracking in Bing there is training elsewhere in the program on how to do that you’re gonna set up tight ad groups as always focused on one theme you’re gonna create one opt-in that speaks directly to the ad group theme and you’re gonna deliver exactly what the ad group keywords are searching for in that opt-in and then on the Thank You page for that opt-in after they give you their email you’re gonna have a link to the Clickbank product and a reason to click so right after they opt-in you should introduce them to the Clickbank product probably by you know talking about their problem and saying hey there’s this really cool solution to that problem click here to learn more and then they go to the sales page it’s very likely that if they’re that interested in this topic they will be interested in purchasing as well and if they’re not interested in purchasing today you can send them more emails for the next few days and say hey what do you think about that or you know there’s lots of different strategies for email writing but we’re not going to cover those here but you can speak to them after they opt-in and maybe they’re not ready today by on day one but they buy on day three so here’s the strategy to list building you’re gonna set up an autoresponder sequence that continues to speak to the niche we’re already talking about the strategy you’re gonna set up an autoresponder sequence that continues to speak to the niche topics they care about and continue to offer products that they would be interested in you’re gonna track your average earning per lead and compare it to your cost per lead and Bing that’s what we just talked about a moment ago building a relationship and continuing to mail them is tricky but the most lucrative scale in all of
