2 Big Approaches
welcome back to clickbank secrets in this video we’re gonna talk about the two big approaches for making Bing and Clickbank work so the big approach number one that works on bing if you start looking around is product base the product base approach so basically you are targeting people who are already searching for successful products on Clickbank or even any product and Clickbank really and the reason why this works is because when people send out emails to their lists you know like I said a lot of products on Clickbank are promoted through email promotions well if Joe Schmo has a list of a hundred thousand people and he sends out his email and it’s promoting a product like Ted’s Woodworking or the Venus Venus I forgot the Venus method or whatever or you know numerology or numerologist calm or whatever so that person goes and they promote it out to their list of a hundred thousand people well you know ten thousand people might just buy it right from that link but then another ten thousand people are like oh yeah that ted’s work woodworking that looks real neat I can’t I don’t want to get it today but I’m gonna keep that in mind I’m gonna write it down and then a week later they go to a search engine like Google or Bing in this case and they say what was that thing a Ted’s Ted Ted woodworking and they go to Bing and they search for Ted’s Woodworking and you can put an ad there for anyone who searches for Ted’s Woodworking and you can put your ad there I say hey Ted’s Woodworking get it here for special discount and some exclusive bonuses and so the cool thing is it works because they’re already looking for the product you didn’t have to go out and convince somebody that hey are you into woodworking do you wanna you know are you tired of like running out of plans and you have to go on the internet and look them all up wouldn’t you rather just have one resource where you can just download 16,000 plans in one place you don’t have to do that they’ve already had somebody already did that for them you know the person with the list or you know the person who ran an ad on some other network or whatever somebody out there got them to kind of got them to cross the bridge from I like woodworking to I want this product called Ted’s Woodworking now you can step in there and be like hey you can help them over that last little bit last little bit over the buying you know Gorge if you will so that’s why it works you really don’t have to do much selling at all and how it works is you really just talk about the product this can work you know really really well actually and a lot of people I’ve noticed are seem to be making a I’m guessing very very lucrative career out of just doing this method so if you decide to do this method yourself I’m gonna explain the pros and cons it might sound really nice to you because you’re like I don’t have to learn a lot of copy I don’t have to learn how to you know speak to a niche I don’t have to learn an avatar I can just send people to something that they’re already ready to buy that sounds great and it it is great but let me explain some of the pros and cons so some of the pros and cons to the product based approach are you know a pro is like I said you’re stepping in front of a wave that someone else created someone else paid in some way to convince that person that they needed Ted’s Woodworking you’re just stepping in front of them and saying hey remember Ted’s Woodworking I know you’re thinking about it because I’m bidding on the keywords so you wish you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t bidding on that keyword I bet you’re thinking about Ted’s working well let me show you why it’s great the buyer intent is very high when they click on your ad they’re they already know what Ted’s Woodworking is they’ve already seen the video or the sales page or somebody on a blog or they heard it on a podcast or whatever they already know about it they just want it so that’s a really great place to be like I said it takes almost no selling whatsoever they’ve they’ve already been sold basically a selling is easy so that’s another Pro now some of the cons for doing this on the Bing platform specifically our bids are high I bet if you look up Ted’s Woodworking in you know the Google Adwords Keyword tool or the Bing tool it’s probably gonna say it’s gonna cost over $1 maybe $2 per click and that’s probably pretty accurate and so that brings us to the next con which is competition is pretty high because some people have figured this method out and they love you know they’re they know how high these people are going to convert so they want to they’ll spend a couple dollars you know if they’re willing to do that then they’re still making a profit but it just means competition is high you’re gonna be in a bidding war again it’s probably some really savvy marketers because they’re already where you are which is hey I realize if I do this I don’t have to do all that other selling stuff but the competition is high you’re gonna be in a bidding war against these people another con is that search volume is relatively low so whereas the search term woodworking plans might get searched fifty thousand times a month the term Ted’s Woodworking plans probably only gets searched for 200 times a month so now you’re bidding with these you know sophisticated marketers over only 200 impressions so you’re gonna have to the bidding war is gonna get real ugly real fast I’m not saying this to dissuade you I’m I still think you can do it one thing is Bing is never gonna give everybody you know never never gonna give one person all of the impression so even if you only get ten of those impressions because you bid lower hey if 1 out of 10 of those impressions clicks and buys then and you just made 60 bucks for spending you know a dollar then that’s great so it’s definitely still a very good valid method but that’s just one of the cons is search volume is relatively low you’re not gonna get you know 10,000 people a month searching for where to buy Ted’s Woodworking with discount you know you’re gonna get 40 people a month searching for that those people who search for it are gonna be extremely extremely qualified the next con is that some affiliates like we talked about in the previous video just don’t allow this they don’t want you bidding on their name their brand name they they risk you know they want to control the image that their brand name has and they don’t want people using their name in ads that’s part of them controlling their brand all right so the product based strategy in a nutshell is this step one as always and refer back to the previous parts of this course on ad hacking and funnel hacking check out the research video in the live masterclass replays so you’re gonna do some research you know look at what’s already working in this niche now for this one particularly I really I know it’d be really cool to see some examples but I feel a little weird showing you know these affiliates who worked really hard and build out these funnels but I could teach you the method and you can go out and look up what’s working yourself I think you’re gonna see some very obvious patterns and I will talk about some of the patterns but it’s just up to you to go do that because I know you know that’s it’s their livelihood their business and it’s fair for it to be yours as well but I just want to just want to you know respect fellow affiliates so anyways the ad is generally in in my experience from doing my own ad hacking is typically just calling out the product name so it’s not all that complicated doesn’t really take much copywriting skill at all just saying because these people are already searching for the product so you really just have to say you know product name and then afterwards you’re usually mentioning something like a discount or bonuses and the cool thing about Clickbank products if you haven’t looked at their sales messages is they always have a discount that’s just part of the sales form you know that they always follow so they’re always discounting from some large and amount down to a smaller amount and they always have bonuses because that’s also part of the sales formula so you can always say discount in bonuses it’s better to have specific numbers etc and actually have it reflect the discount that they’re getting and the bonuses that they’re getting you can use this strategy with direct linking or the landing page strategy which we’re gonna talk about these specific strategies in the next video but just know that for product base you can you can do direct linking or landing page it’s not really a good match for list building you would want to build a list of people that are looking for Ted’s Woodworking be a small list and they’d be better served by just getting a link to the product most for my observations most successful affiliates who are doing this product based strategy do a pre-sale landing page where it basically is taking all of the the benefits of the product itself and restating restating all the benefits and then doing you know showing some testimonials showing the price the discount that you’re getting stuff like that and there is a trick if you’re doing direct linking where clickmagick actually can basically take your affiliate link and make sure you’re still credited and then send them directly to the checkout page in Clickbank so you might want to check that out it’s in the click magic training that would be another way to do the product based strategy if you want to do direct linking you could just send people you could say hey you’re getting this bonus and discount and bonuses and then you could send them directly to the checkout page and you’d still get affiliate credit you could also look on the affiliate resources page of sometimes these affiliate products will actually give you links straight to their checkout as well so that’d be the way to do that probably directly direct linking now here’s some of the caveats you will be paying a high cost per click we covered that before to get your clicks but your conversion rate will also be very high – so there’s no reason that you couldn’t make this work I believe you can make almost anything work if you know what you’re doing with Bing so one tip here is you want to target buyer intent keywords you know something like discount or sale or you know download now or whatever and remember that you’re probably not going to get much traffic each day for each product so you want to basically build a system and then replicate this system out to as many products as you can on Clickbank if you you know set this up for Ted’s Woodworking and you’re getting ten clicks a day then set it up for you know the fat decimator system and get ten clicks today to the fat estimator system and then set it up for the next one and the next one is just go down the line and just replicate this system for every single product that you want to do on Clickbank that’s the way to win with the product base strategy so approach number two this is the one that I have more experience with because it’s how I learned PPC is you are targeting a niche and you’re recommending this product as a solution to the niches problems so here some examples dating for women the keto diet or dog training one of the pros of this system is there’s much higher search volume for all of these terms and terms related to this there’s a lot less competition there’s cheaper clicks lot cheaper clicks and it can work on scaling one product versus many so you can work on scaling one product versus many so once you have a winning product you can just scale that one winning product up higher and higher you know with the niche based strategy you can find more and more keywords whereas if you’re promoting directly to a product you really can’t you can’t start getting broad more broad keywords because they’re not going to be qualified at all to just be looking at some offer you know they’re gonna want to go to the sales page and learn about the thing so whereas the last strategy is to replicate the system into many products and just have each of them get a few clicks a day and convert at a really high rate then this system is you you’re looking for one product at first and you want to scale that up as high as you can with more traffic more clicks one of the cons as we’ve already talked about the conversion rate it’s going to be lower people are you know if they’re searching for a problem there they’re not necessarily looking for a product they are they’re looking for a solution of their problems so your job is to bridge that gap or you know get them to the you know the sales page that bridges the gap for them so that you can offer this product as a solution to their problem another con is it can be more expensive to get your first sales you’re usually kind of exploring a lot of keywords I try to give you the best tools possible and the rest of the course to you know avoid that as much as possible but it’s kind of you know can be part of the game to explore a lot of keywords and see which ones convert before you have your you know converting keywords AdWords ad groups and campaigns and another con is that optimization is much more important and another con I would add here is that you typically need a bigger budget for this you know you could probably you can always get started with any budget I always say that and I and I believe it but it might take you a little bit more time and perhaps budget to get to your successful ads keywords and you know everything with with the niche strategy so basically the niche strategy is once again tracking still absolutely essential cannot avoid it it does work with direct with all series three strategies were going to talk about in the next video direct linking landing page or list building and you basically start wide with keywords and you narrow down so if you don’t know what that means go watch the rest of the course I talked about it at length you know the different strategies for keywords but that’s basically going to be the thing you’re gonna start a little wide and you’re gonna narrow down to the stuff that works you’re gonna start bidding on broad keywords not many of them again watch the rest of the course to learn how to structure your campaigns we don’t need to talk about it here we’re gonna start bidding on broad keywords and then you’re gonna optimize to success you’re gonna find your buried treasure create specific tight ad groups within the niche we talked about this all throughout the course go watch the rest of it for that you’re gonna watch your conversion data again we talked about it in the optimization video in the live master class and you’re gonna look for buried treasure and that’s that’s how you’re gonna win with the niche based strategy you’re gonna go wide you’re gonna find the winners and then you’re gonna turn everything off except for the winners and then you’re gonna scale those up in the next video we’re gonna talk about this three main strategies for Bing and Clickbank
