all right so let’s talk about the biggest game-changer and the biggest mistake that I see with people trying to get started promoting Clickbank offers on being the biggest game-changer by far is one word tracking having accurate tracking is the key to making Clickbank promotions work with Bing it is the only way for you to optimize your campaigns properly and the biggest mistake is kind of just the other side of the same coin which is not having tracking and by this I mean a third-party tracking tool like the one that I recommend which is click magic there should be a link below this if I’ve seen a lot of people make this mistake I’ve talked to at this point you know hundreds of people who are figuring out how to use Bing and one thing that I’ve seen come up many many times is that once I start talking to them and seeing what their what their issues are is if they’re doing Clickbank products they’re promoting Clickbank products they haven’t set up clickmagick properly it’s kind of tedious the first few times to do it to figure it out but once you do it it’s not that hard it did take me a while to get to figure it out and I understand that it’s kind of intimidating and confusing but it’s the only way and if you’ve ever had this experience then you’ll know why so if you’ve ever tried this in the past and you’re like alright cool I just found out it with this affiliate marketing thing I just found out about this a Clickbank thing I want to promote Clickbank products because this is pretty much the path that everybody goes down Oh affiliate marketing I don’t have to start a real business wow that sounds great I just want to promote products and sell stuff that sounds awesome I want to be rich great and then somebody says well there’s this place called Clickbank where you can find all sorts of products to promote you can promote anything you can promote books about you know watering trees and books about dogs and oh yeah that sounds great I could do that and by the way I’ve been through this same process as well so I know I know well so you get started and you’re like and then somebody says oh but here’s the trouble you can’t just buy ads on Google and you know oh that’s what I was gonna try I was gonna try buying ads on Google because I know that Google has a heads and I could just sell those dog training books and I’ll be rich and that’ll be great so then somebody says but there’s another one called Bing and that’s usually when people find my videos at this point they’ve already made the leap that they want to do affiliate marketing they’ve already made the leap that Clickbank is the place to start which it is for most affiliates and now somebody somewhere told them that Bing ads is like easier than Google and actually lets you do it so you can have your cake and eat it too so that’s where people come to being then this happens quite frequently and it makes 90 percent of people give up they they want to do it with as little friction as possible as little effort as possible so they just take the Clickbank link that they give you the direct link the affiliate link to one of the products that they want to promote usually one of the top five products cuz you’re like I want to promote the top ones you know again I’ve done all this so I understand the logic it’s you know it’s just where everybody starts so take one of the top products copy the link all right I’m just gonna put it in this ad I’m gonna you know write an ad that’s like lose weight now and then I’m gonna put in these keywords to lose weight and then I should be rich but I don’t know but at the end of the week probably and you know I’m I know I’m a little sarcastic here but I’m kind of like making fun of myself in the past cuz it’s ridiculous but this is this is what has happened to me in the past before I figured out how this all works and how I figured before I figured out how to get you know tracking set up and everything is take that link put it in there and then run some traffic and like you know let’s say I’m like okay well I can spend up to a hundred dollars and you know if I make even one hundred fifty dollars then then I will I’ll just keep reinvesting and I and that’s how you know people get rich is they put in a dollar and then make a dollar fifty great okay I got this I got this Mac and so this is this is where the crazy part happens is you put it in run some traffic and then oh my gosh it worked I just got a conversion I got a sale I just sold for like $40 and I’ve only spent $20 oh my gosh yes this is happening it’s just as I thought it’s just that the people on the internet said my dreams are coming true I’ll be rich soon this is great and get really excited because you see the easy math you’re like yes I just spent $20.00 made $40 yes yes yes it’s all working and then the spend keeps going up to $30 you’re like alright it’s it’s still fine you know I spent $30 I made 40 this is great still working I’ll probably make another sale soon and then I will spend $40 to make 80 it’ll be great and then another $10 goes by and now you’re at $40 and you’re like well I guess I’m breaking even I mean that’s not really what I wanted but maybe I’ll make a sale tomorrow and and then I won’t be breaking even anymore and then it goes to $50 $60 $70 and you still have only made 40 and this is the point where a lot of people stop they stop the campaign they say well I had those couple days where I was really excited I thought I was gonna be rich but I guess this was a waste of time and it’s a waste of my money I just blew 20 bucks on nothing and I lost this money and now I can’t get back so I’m gonna go back to doing something that isn’t as exciting but you know at least it works so that’s where a lot of people that’s where a lot of people stop now your version of that might be slightly different maybe maybe not so sad and disheartened as I was but that’s I went through that cycle kind of several times so if you ever had that where you start a campaign and then you you start making some sales on Clickbank and then it drops off then this if you get tracking down then you can make sure that you you’re never if you do it this way without tracking if you’re just putting in the link and then sending traffic to the link directly and you’re you know that’s it if that’s all the tracking you have is this came from Bing then this will make sure that you’re never consistently profitable even if you do make some sales like somebody just emailed me the other day said you know I was doing Bing ads to Clickbank and I made a four hundred thirty dollar sale and I was like wow congratz and then they were like but I spent seven hundred thirty dollars to do it and my first question was did you have tracking setup because this person was probably thinking okay if I can just sell you know $450 thing for even 300 that I’ll still be I’ll still be good and I’m just keep sending that traffic and it’ll work but the thing is the people that are really really good at this know that you have to know all of your data you know you have to know what sent that conversion so that you can start focusing on that and ignoring all of the rest and then you can build it up and then you can add more so tracking can be intimidating but you quickly get it when you try it a few times so I hope I reiterated for the billionth time that you need tracking to do affiliate marketing and you need it to do Clickbank marketing on bing you absolutely need it one more thing the reason why you need it and people ask me this question a lot and that’s why I want to reiterate it is they get confused because I tell you how to set up tracking within Bing ads itself right like take the Bing ads tracking code and put it onto your website and all that stuff and then they see me talk about click magic and they say well why why do I need click magic if Bing has its own tracking well the reason is you can’t put your Bing tracking code on Clickbank conversion pages you don’t control those pages the owners of the Clickbank products do they they might put it on there for you if you if you want to ask you can but for the most part you don’t have any control over that so you’re gonna need something in-between Bing and Clickbank that’s gonna do the tracking for you so you need a third-party tracking tool and you’re gonna have to look in that tool for all of your your data because you’re not gonna be able to look in Bing if you own your own website and your own product or if you’re just tracking opt-ins then you can use Bing and you can optimize from there but if you don’t and you’re you’re doing Clickbank products you don’t control the landing page you can’t put your Bing code on there so you’re gonna have
