Case Study #2: Direct Linking
hey what’s up it’s the Nomad Brad welcome back to another first sale case study with Bing ads and Clickbank watching some fresh campaigns get brand new sales so this one is this one’s not so cleverly named a tactical strike pen so this is a product from ape survival again it is a free plus shipping offer so pretty simple for people to say yes to also very easy to make a congruent ad from what they’re searching for which is something to do with a tactical strike pen to directly to the offer which is free so it’s easy to say yes to it’s a low ticket offer so we’ll have to be you know careful on our margins to make this profitable but it should be pretty easy to get some sales so let’s take a look at the campaign we can see here here’s the sale it happened on the 10th today is the 11th so it happened yesterday we can see that it’s in Louisiana again we’ve got our tracking ID here from clickmagick and we made five dollars and 78 cents so if we go here it’s so far it’s at the EPC the earnings per click is at 39 cents and let’s take a look at the campaign inside of Bing total overall the average CPC is 40 cents so we’re about breaking even at the moment according to that we’ve spent four dollars and 81 cents and we’ve made five dollars and 78 cents so that’s about right so total EPC – CPC is about breakeven however this offer does have continuity if you go to the sales page and say check ville bility well very serious stuff going on there and you go to continue you can see that there are these order bumps and I believe there are upsells for continuity so with this offer if you can make the front end break even you you don’t really have to do anything but if it breaks even then you will start to eventually be profitable because every once in a while somebody if the base the base level conversion is profit is break-even then every once in a while the some people are going to take the order bumps and maybe take the continuity and then over time it will grow into more and more profits so it’s definitely a long-term kind of campaign which is not surprising because it’s a it’s a low ticket item again it’s kind of hard to make those work sometimes but we can still optimize to do our best there so let’s take a look inside the campaign again we’re gonna see some really shockingly brilliant copywriting here it looks like we have two ads actually I had started this campaign a long time ago I just restarted it so we’ve got free tactical pen limited supply and free tactical pen the world’s greatest very just paste shipping get one free just paste ship and get one free very simple ads indeed free tactical pen get one free get one free we’ve got two clicks here so far look at the keywords they’re both they’re the same in both campaigns or in both ad groups we’ve got a couple broad match I remember why I did that a long time ago but mostly pretty simple tactical pen exact match 5 percent click-through rate tactical pen broad match spy pen tactical pen a bunch of other steel tactical pen tactical pen tactical pen pretty much any tactical pen a keyword they’ll give me I’ve added again I ran this for a little while a while ago not sure why I stopped it but those are the keywords they’re very simple and tactical flashlights maybe at that spike pen just different things that Bing would suggest I’ve added strike pen strike pen strike pen tactical flashlight what does strike pen most of these are phrase or exact match and then we’ve got a couple of broads maybe one bra too broad so we got two broads this one could definitely use some more keywords so the ads you’ve seen the ads you’ve seen the keywords you’ve seen the transaction you’ve seen the sales page pretty simple and oh yeah let’s let’s dig into the sales data here so if we click on the sale then we see that it came from a tactical pen exact match on a computer and on bing so we’ve made five dollars and 78 cents and we spent we spent four dollars and 81 cents to get it but actually if we dig in then we really need to look at the computer and the Bing Network so on computer and on bing we’ve had exactly one click and we’ve spent 43 cents so actually we spent 43 cents to get five dollars and seventy eight cents when you dig in oh sorry that’s that smartphone computer we spent three dollars and forty-five cents on bing and we’ve had eight clicks so out of eight people one of them converted we’ve spent three dollars and 45 cents and we’ve made five dollars and whatever and if you dig in even a little further it’s an exact match so we can look inside of our keywords and it was tactical pen exact match so we can see sort by clicks this is the keyword this is the exact keyword that generated the sale so there were five clicks on that keyword and it’s spent spend it spent $2 no is that the top one yeah two dollars and 59 cents so this exact thing spent 2 dollars and 59 cents to make 5 dollars and something cents so that’s that that’s another successful first sale of that product so if you want to know how to keep growing and scaling this campaign then I would love to have you in the Bing ads boot camp we have a private Facebook group where you can ask questions and you can just learn everything that you would need to know to ever grow or start any campaign in any industry using Bing ads so thanks for watching I’ll see you on another video
