welcome to the mindset section of the Bing ads bootcamp 2.0 I put this together because I want to share with you some of the mindsets because I do get to interact with a lot of people at different stages of business and different stages of learning about paid traffic I get to hear a lot of different mindsets that people have and these are the biggest changes that have helped me be more successful in paid traffic and using Bing and other platforms as well just in marketing in general and in life so I hope you appreciate this I really want to share these big mindset shifts that you should strive to always be reminding yourself of and implementing into your business and your life and I think you will agree they will make all the difference in your success so the first one the first mindset shift is to treat this as a business so basically in this realm of paid traffic learning Bing and other pay traffic platforms you are essentially the business or at least you are the most valuable asset to the business so your campaigns are kind of an asset to the business but really it’s your skillset it’s your mind that is the most important part of the business and again you should treat it as a business not as a one-off solution to make a quick buck I know everybody says that but seriously I used to think I don’t care how I you know how it happens I just need to make some money and that’s like totally the wrong mindset and so many people have that I just need to make money and that just really it’s kind of bottles you up it stops you up from seeing opportunities and doing what you need to do which we’re gonna talk about more but if you treat it as a business and think okay this is what I’m gonna be doing for a living even if it’s kind of like a side hustle thing now and you’re building your skills while also doing something else to pay your bills that’s totally fine treat it as a business treat yourself as a business treat yourself with respect and you know trust that you’re going to be able to figure this out you’re gonna get better and better as all businesses they either grow or they die so you want this to constantly be growing so what if you make you know if you put out a great ad and you make a thousand dollars in a day that’s great but what about the next day what about the day after that what about through six months down the road six years down the road where are you gonna be then are you gonna take that thousand dollars and retire for life probably not you need to just just think about it as business take it more seriously this is something that it took me a long time to do and I wish I would have done it sooner because it made a lot of difference in how I approached the topic how I took actions etc so just remember treat this as a business not as a you know make money thing so if you treat it as as a business your entire behavior will change you will start to see the bigger picture you will have many more options open up to you you will avoid the failure trap of giving up too soon this happens all the time where you know you try some one thing one time and it doesn’t immediately make you a millionaire and so you give up when really all it would have taken was testing you know eliminating a few key words that weren’t profitable and all of a sudden now you have a campaign that’s making $100 a day or you know finding a different keyword that you haven’t tested yet – the same product the same exact product the same exact ads or you just needed to try a landing page that does a decent job of selling somebody instead of trying to send a direct link to a product or vice versa and maybe you need to try sending a direct link to the product because your landing page was screwing up the conversions you’ll never know and if you’re only ever trying one thing and giving up if it doesn’t work then you might lose the whole you know benefit of having this skill set and having this business so again think of it as a business think of it as something that continually is going to improve you need to work at it and learn more and more and improve your mind improve your skills and practice and you’re gonna get better and better and better and you will avoid the failure trap of giving up too soon when the the promised land was just a couple steps away I see this all the time where people think they have a campaign that wasted money we’re gonna talk about that more in another mindset thing they think they’ve wasted money on a campaign and then I go look at it and I’m like oh my gosh you have a profitable stream of traffic here you just gave up you just gave up too soon so don’t do that treat it as a business you will stop hopping from thing to thing and never getting great results and more opportunities will continue to flow your way if you again treat it as a business you will sharpen and hone your skills and you will get real confidence because you will get real results and you will grow rapidly in talent skill instinct and profit you’ll also grow in value value to yourself to your own business and also to others you’ll value when when you get good at this skill set you now bring something very valuable to the table of any sort of partnership or as a service provider to clients or as a part of a business you know if you want to join a company that that means PPC then you’re gonna know how to do that and you’ll be having advantage over other people applying for the job
