Lasso Brag

If you want to add some urgency to your WordPress site, a countdown timer widget is a great way to do it. Whether you’re counting down to a sale, an event, or launch of a new product, a countdown timer can create a sense of excitement and encourage visitors to take action.

In this article, we’ll show you how to add a countdown timer widget in WordPress. We’ll also share a few tips on how to use countdown timers effectively on your website.

Let’s get started!

Why Use a Countdown Timer Widget in WordPress?

Countdown timers are a great way to create a sense of urgency and encourage visitors to take action. For example, if you’re running a sale, a countdown timer can encourage visitors to buy now before the sale ends.

If you’re launching a new product, a countdown timer can create anticipation and build excitement for the launch. You can also use countdown timers to count down to an event, such as a conference or webinar.

No matter what you’re counting down to, a countdown timer can be an effective way to grab attention and boost conversions.

How to Add a Countdown Timer Widget in WordPress

There are a few different ways to add a countdown timer in WordPress. We’ll show you two methods:

Method 1: Use the WPForms Countdown Timer Widget

WPForms is the best WordPress Form Builder plugin. It’s easy to use and comes with a built-in countdown timer widget that you can add to any form.

To use this method, you’ll need to install and activate the WPForms plugin. For more details, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Once you activate the plugin, you’ll need to create a new form. For more information, see our article on how to create a form in WordPress.

Once you have your form ready, go to the WPForms » Settings page and click on the ‘Countdown Timer’ tab.

Here, you can configure the settings for your countdown timer. You can choose how long the countdown should last, the time zone, and the message that will be displayed when the countdown ends.

Once you’re happy with your settings, click on the ‘Save Settings’ button to store your changes.

Now that you’ve configured your countdown timer, it’s time to add it to your form. To do that, go to the WPForms » Add New page and click on the ‘Add Field’ button.

This will open up the field editor. From here, you can add various form fields to your form, including the countdown timer.

To add the countdown timer, scroll down to the ‘Advanced Fields’ section and click on the ‘Countdown Timer’ field.

This will add the countdown timer field to your form. You can now click on the ‘Save’ button to store your changes.

Your countdown timer is now ready to use. To preview your form, click on the ‘Preview’ button.

You should now see your form with the countdown timer.

Method 2: Use the T(-) Countdown Plugin

If you don’t want to use a plugin, you can also add a countdown timer to WordPress using the T(-) Countdown plugin. This plugin lets you create multiple countdown timers and display them anywhere
