There are a few different ways that you can change the font size in WordPress. In this article, we will show you how to change the font size in WordPress using the default WordPress editor and two popular WordPress plugins.

If you want to change the font size of your website’s content, then you will need to edit your WordPress theme’s CSS file. However, if you want to change the font size of just one section or element on your website, then you can use the WordPress editor to make those changes.

Using the WordPress Editor to Change Font Size

1. Log into your WordPress website.

2. In the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Pages » All Pages.

3. Select the page where you want to change the font size.

4. Click on the pencil icon to edit the page.

5. In the WordPress editor, highlight the text that you want to change the font size for.

6. In the toolbar above the WordPress editor, you will see a drop-down menu labeled “Paragraph.” Click on that drop-down menu and select the desired Heading size. For example, you can select “Heading 1” to make the text much larger.

That’s it. You can now save your changes and preview them on your website.

If you want more control over the font sizes on your website, then we recommend that you use a WordPress plugin. For this tutorial, we will be using the Custom Fonts plugin.

Using the Custom Fonts Plugin to Change Font Size

1. Install and activate the Custom Fonts plugin. For more information, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

2. Upon activation, you need to visit Settings » Custom Fonts page to configure the plugin settings.

3. The plugin comes with a few pre-installed fonts that you can use. To use any of those fonts, simply select it from the ‘Select Font Family’ drop-down menu.

4. If you want to add your own custom fonts, then you need to first upload them to your WordPress hosting account. You can do that by logging into your hosting account’s cPanel and navigating to the File Manager.

5. Once you are in the File Manager, navigate to the public_html » wp-content » uploads folder.

6. Now, click on the Upload button from the top toolbar and select the font files from your computer.

Note: The plugin supports .ttf and .otf font file formats.

7. After uploading the files, you need to head back to Settings » Custom Fonts page in your WordPress admin area and click on the ‘Add Font’ button.

8. This will bring up a popup where you need to provide a name for your font and select the font files that you just uploaded.

After adding the font, you will see it appear in the custom fonts drop-down menu.

9. Now you can select your custom font, enter the CSS selector, and then change the font size, letter spacing, and line height.

You can also select the ‘Apply Font’ checkbox next to specific CSS selectors to immediately apply the changes.

10. Once you are done, click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to store your settings.
