WordPress uses the Generate Thumbnails button to automatically crop and edit your post thumbnails. However, you can’t always rely on WordPress to get the perfect image every time.

That’s why it’s important to know how to crop and edit your WordPress post thumbnails manually.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard and click on Media.

2. Find the image you want to crop and click on it.

3. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the Image Editor.

4. Under Scale Image, enter the new dimensions for your thumbnail.

5. Crop your image using the Crop Tool.

6. Once you’re happy with the results, click on the Save button.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully cropped and edited your WordPress post thumbnail.
