How to Flip Images in WordPress

Let’s get started!

How to Crop Images in WordPress

The first thing you need to do is to open the image you want to crop in the WordPress editor. You can do this by going to Media » Library and clicking on the edit icon for the image you want to crop.

This will open the image in the WordPress editor. You can now click on the Crop icon in the toolbar.

You will see an overlay with some options on the left and right sides. The left side is where you can set the aspect ratio for your crop. WordPress will automatically detect the aspect ratio of your image and select it by default.

However, you can also change it to a different aspect ratio or freeform. For this tutorial, we will leave it set to the default aspect ratio.

On the right side, you will see options to flip, rotate, and scale the image. You can use these options if you want but we will focus on the cropping tool.

To crop the image, you need to click and drag the image from within the overlay. You will see a dynamic preview of how your image will look when it’s cropped.

Once you are happy with the crop, click on the ‘Apply’ button.

That’s all. Your image is now cropped and you can close the cropping overlay.

How to Rotate Images in WordPress

The next thing we’re going to show you is how to rotate images in WordPress.

Just like before, you need to open the image you want to rotate in the WordPress editor. You can do this by going to Media » Library and clicking on the edit icon.

This will open the image in the WordPress editor. You can now click on the Rotate icon in the toolbar.

It will show you the current rotation angle of your image along with options to rotate it counterclockwise or clockwise.

Click on the appropriate button to rotate your image by 90 degrees. You can keep clicking it until the image is rotated to the angle you want.

If you want to rotated the image by a custom angle, then click on the ‘Custom Angle’ field and enter the number of degrees. You can use the up and down arrow keys to increase or decrease the angle.

Once you are happy with the rotation, click on the ‘Apply’ button.

That’s all. Your image is now rotated and you can close the rotation overlay.

How to Scale Images in WordPress

The next thing we’re going to show you is how to scale images in WordPress.

Just like before, you need to open the image you want to scale in the WordPress editor
