Affiliate Marketing On Youtube Shorts and Tik Tok [2022]
Well, it’s been a long time coming,
But I’ve almost reached 10k subs on Youtube! π₯³
If you haven’t subscribe already, I was wondering if you’d do me a huge favor and
β
βBecome my 10,000th susbscriber! (or 10,001st… π )Β
β
β
Thank you!
ββ
And if you’re already a subscriber, thank you again for sticking around these past few years. I know it’s been weird sometimes.
β
And drop me a comment and say hello! I’d love to hear what you’re up to and what you’d like to learn more about in the rest of 2022.
β
But, we’re on to bigger and better things now!
Here’s a few things I’ve learned:
The new subscriber growth has largely come from my efforts in creating Youtube Shorts and Tik Toks…
β
βCreating shorts content is different…and easier.
It’s WAY easier to get views and subscribers on shorts right now
β
- It’s generally easier to create content for these platforms. Just about ANY content will work, can take you about 10-15 seconds to create, and will attract a sea of the right people that are interested in your content.
- It’s much easier to come up with 10-15 content ideas than planning 15-45 minute long videos
- Production quality is NOT important
- Every niche is wide open, and the platforms are hungry for content
- Subscribers and Viewers are coming WAY easier than they did for me by the time I started YouTube in 2017. Total beginners with their first posts can get hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, even millions of views. (This probably won’t last too long, by the way)

Affiliate Marketing On Youtube Shorts and Tik Tok
YT Shorts and Tik Tok are both great for affiliates.
Like I said, every niche is wide open and hungry for content.
A really great niche to start in is talking about software, websites, and tools.
β
(Like the ones I’ve Include On This List)
As marketers, you know other marketers and business people eat it up.
It’s working well for me, and I’m just barely getting started.
If you want a full course on how to make that strategy work, check this one out. β
β
βAll you have to do is whip out your phone, talk for 15-30 seconds about your favorite tool that does something cool, and upload it.
β
βIf you’ve been afraid of video content before, I think you’ll find this format much friendlier and easier.
β
My brother just uploads videos of his motorcycle rides and he’s gotten 6k followers on Tik Tok!β
β
The Workflow That Sped Up My Editing Process Dramatically
After tinkering around a bit with a few flows for creating shorts, I found one that really works for me.
β
βStep 1: Record a long form video
Reviews of softwares and tools work great.
β
Or…literally talk about anything else in any niche you want to create content for that you’re interested in.
β
There are lots of great options for recording, but I record my screen on my computer using Camtasia.
β
You can totally use your phone too, but I’m most productive and comfortable from my laptop.
β
βStep 2: Publish that long form video to Youtube
This is great for long term seo, brand/channel building, long tail traffic.
β
βStep 3: Cut the long form video into 15-60 second clips and export them
β
In a 10-15 minute video, I can get 5-15 shorts depending on the video.
β
βStep 4: Use Descript to automatically transcribe the video and add captions.
β
Captions seem to work way better. And thankfully, Descript does them really quickly & easily, and scalably – since it’s a desktop app.
β
βStep 5: Upload to YT Shorts , Tik Tok via the desktop apps.
β
I find this much faster and easier than using the apps.
β
Plus, it’s easily systemizable and repeatable.
β
βBonus (I haven’t done this much yet) – upload the exact same video to FB Reels, Instagram Reels, Snapchat, Pinterest.
β
You can get more and more exposure by leveraging the same content.
β
Smart!
β
That flow has worked really well for me so far. Maybe I’ll find a better one later, but if that appeals to you, I’d recommend trying it out!
