Before we begin, we want to mention that you will need a self-hosted WordPress.org site to follow this tutorial. WordPress.com is a different platform and it doesn’t allow you to install third-party themes or plugins.

Step 1: Choose a WordPress Hosting Provider

Step 2: Pick a WordPress Theme
Now it’s time to choose a WordPress theme. Your theme will determine the design and layout of your website.

Step 4: Import Your Weebly Content
Now it’s time to import your content from Weebly to WordPress. WordPress has an importer tool that makes this process super easy.
First, you need to export your Weebly content as an XML file. To do that, login to your Weebly account and go to Settings » General.
Under the Download button, you’ll see an option to Export to XML. click on that and your Weebly content will be downloaded as an XML file.

On the next screen, you’ll need to assign authors to your imported Weebly posts and pages. For that, you can either create new WordPress users or map existing users to the imported content.
