ClickBank vs JVZoo: Fees, Products and Which One to Use

ClickBank and JVZoo are both affiliate marketplaces for digital products, but they attract different sellers. ClickBank is the larger, more general marketplace, strong in health, self-improvement and evergreen info products. JVZoo is centered on software, marketing tools and product launches. Vendors pay less per sale on JVZoo. Affiliates usually find steadier evergreen offers on ClickBank.

Fees for vendors

ClickBank keeps 7.5% plus $1 from each sale, and new vendors pay a one-time $49.95 activation fee.

JVZoo states that it charges a 5% platform fee on sales.

On a $50 product that is $4.75 on ClickBank against $2.50 on JVZoo. JVZoo is cheaper at every price point, and the gap widens on low-priced products because of ClickBank’s flat $1.

What the fee covers

The lower JVZoo fee comes with more responsibility. ClickBank acts as the seller of record: it collects payment, handles sales tax, processes refunds and pays out affiliates. That is a large part of what the extra fee buys.

JVZoo works more like tracking and delivery software sitting on top of your own payment setup. Check how tax, refunds and affiliate payouts are handled for your account before you choose on price alone.

Product types

ClickBank’s marketplace leans toward evergreen offers that sell all year: supplements, fitness programs, relationship advice, and courses on making money online. Many have been running for years with tested sales pages.

JVZoo is launch-driven. A lot of its volume comes from new software and marketing tools promoted hard for a week or two, often with a low front-end price and several upsells. That suits affiliates with an email list of marketers.

For affiliates

Both are free to join. On ClickBank you can grab a link for most products immediately, and the gravity score shows how many affiliates are making sales with an offer.

On JVZoo you often request approval product by product, and the vendor decides. New affiliates with no sales history can be declined or put on delayed commissions, so expect a slower start.

Product quality

Neither marketplace screens tightly for quality. Launch products in particular can be short-lived. Read the sales page, look at the refund policy, and test anything you plan to send real traffic to.

Which should you choose?

  • Affiliates building evergreen content: ClickBank.
