🚀 How I “Stole” My Affiliate Marketing Powers

As a kid, I always wanted to be Megaman.

Why?

Because when he defeated a boss…he got to steal their powers.

I was always obsessed with the concept of acquiring new powers:

When we played X-Men, I wanted to have Rogue‘s power

(she could steal another mutant’s power by touching them).

I loved watching the scenes in Star Wars where Luke Skywalker got to learn to wield his Jedi Powers.

I would rewind the old VHS tape over and over and watch the scene with Obi Wan Kenobi training in his hut – swinging his light saber, and honing in his mastery.

I just LOVED the idea that you could get new powers.

And apparently…I didn’t care how you got ’em.

I fantasized of being able to suddenly do amazing things I could never even dream of before…and that would give me special “advantages” over other people.

And you know, I guess that fascination never went away.

🦸‍♂️ Discovering Real Life Superpowers

In the past few years, I feel like I’ve stumbled upon the secret to acquiring real life superpowers.

I’ve been able to:

• Build multiple online, and mostly automated income streams that equal more than what I was making working 12 hour days as an Uber driver a few years ago.
  ​
• Travel full time across the United States with my partner, working a few hours a day from coffee shops and earning my living 100% online, working on projects that were exciting, interesting, and fun to me.​
  ​
• Get my first real experience working with amazing clients (and realizing how fun, lucrative, and enriching that can be)
  ​
• Completely teach myself programming from scratch and use it to build tools that nearly automated my affiliate and client businesses 100% .
  ​
• Travel to and live in Alaska full time for the whole summer, exploring some of the most wild and remote places where most humans will never go — even most Alaskans don’t go.

And I did that all by myself, as a 1 person business.

And I attributed ALL of it to the newfound ability I’ve discovered – to make my childhood dreams come true:

To point at a “superpower” that I wanted, and say…

“Get Over Here!”

🌨 Unfortunately…It Wasn’t Always Like This

Just 3 years ago, I was pretty much broke… and broken…

– I had failed at multiple online businesses…right in a row…taking each loss worse and worse mentally.

– I had lost a close friendship and business partnership because of my insecurities, and my failures…

– I was massively in debt.
​
– I suffered crippling depression and anxiety on a daily basis. ​

– I had completely abandoned my growing Youtube channel, email list, and products, wanting to hide and then feeling ashamed of that.

– And, to top it all off…

I was forced to move into my sister’s attic, at the age of 34.

Ugh.

Financially, professionally, spiritually, and mentally….I really was a wreck.

🧙‍♂️ But Then, An Affiliate Marketing “Wizard” Appeared

Back then I had NO hope of ever returning to the affiliate marketing game.

Or even the business game.

I had given up on EVERYTHING and finally accepted defeat.

I was working as an Uber driver 12 hours a day trying to dig myself out of debt…

And hiding from all of my old friends, customers, and anyone who knew who I was.

I was utterly ashamed.

But then, I met an affiliate marketing “wizard” named Greg. ​

Greg and I had talked a few times since I had left Austin, TX (with my tail between my legs)…and we had become friends.

But Greg was not just an ordinary friend.

This man is someone I considered to possess a real life “superpower”.

He knew how to generate affiliate income from SEO – without social media, without paid traffic, and even without sales funnels or a list.

And he did it ALL BY HIMSELF.

I used to spend my days driving around, thinking about how amazing it would feel to watch commissions come into my affiliate accounts…

…To be able to spend more time doing things I wanted to do…

…To be able to rekindle my “Nomad” desires and travel full time again…

I knew that would be a dream.

And it would allow me to really pursue my passions, and do more of the things that really excited me in life.

BUT I didn’t ever think it could happen for me.

Until, one day, I finally got the courage to ask him…

I asked him “the secret” to making money online as an affiliate.
