How To Import Gutenberg Blocks With Json – WordPress Tutorial
I think one of the coolest features in the WordPress Gutenberg block editor is reusable blocks.
They create a very easy to use templating system that allows you to create boiler plate content that can save you tons of time and allow you to scale your blogging and content creation efforts exponentially.
Another really amazing feature is that you can export gutenberg blocks as json files and import them to any other site you have.
That means you could easily scale & replicate your efforts across all of your sites, or even offer gutenberg blocks as free downloads, bonuses, upgrades, or even sell them to save other people time.
How Do You Import Gutenberg Blocks?
Step 1: Go to the Options Button In The Right Hand Corner of the Gutenberg Editor
Look for the 3 little dots, that will say “options” when you hover over them.
Step 2: Click on “Manage Reusable Blocks”
This is where the options to export and import reusable blocks are located.
Step 3: Import From JSON
Finally, look for the Import from JSON button located at the top of the page.
This will allow you to find the JSON file of the reusable block that you exported somewhere on your computer file system and import it easily.
Once you import your block you can easily find it with the plus sign in the gutenberg editor.
