Mac OS: How To Copy A Screenshot To Clipboard

I just discovered a handy shortcut for Mac OS:

This is the keyboard shortcut to automatically copy a screenshot to your clipboard.

This will copy a portion of your screen as a screenshot, and save it directly to your clipboard so you can paste it into other apps:

Command + Control + Shift + 4

This allows you to bypass using the User Interface for the awesome mac screenshot software.

I used to use a software like Droplr , Snagit, or similar things to manage my screenshots, but the more I use it, the more I like just using the native Mac OS Screenshot software.

The downside is they don’t really make any of these features very obvious.

I found a great article here that reviews all of the shortcuts and features of the mac screenshot features.
