what’s up everyone welcome back alright so in this video I want to explain something that can kind of seem a little complicated and overwhelming was to me when I first tried to figure it all out but it’s really really important if you’re gonna do affiliate marketing absolutely critical you have to figure this out so it’s just part of the territory so get over it you’re gonna have to figure it out I’m gonna help you as best I can and once you do it a couple of times it’ll be super easy and you could just kind of put it into your system and keep doing it over and over so you just have to go through the motions a couple times I’ll outline the steps here and I will show you how it all works and then you’ll just have to just just do it a few times and it’ll start to make sense and then it’ll be super easy and you’ll wonder why you haven’t been doing this forever alright so basically what we’re gonna do here I just tried to outline it here even this it still seems a little complicated I understand but the key pieces are you need an affiliate offer in this case we’re gonna be looking at a Clickbank offer you need your affiliate link from that place like Clickbank you need a landing page and you need a link setup and click magic for the offered so this is different than direct linking we’re not direct linking weird linking to a landing page first so when you do that you can really increase conversions a lot but you have to go through this extra step instead of sending directly to the offer so we’re gonna need a tracking link and obviously we’re gonna have an ad inside of Bing so let’s go through these steps first so kind of the first real place to start is number one you have to have your if you’re using Clickbank you have to set up your your Clickbank account with clickmagick so you have to have a clickmagick account and you have to go to I think here in your your account and then go to misc and then go to clickbank secret key and they have an F q here which is which will explain in detail how to set this up so you can just go through that FAQ but basically you have to go through some processes inside your Clickbank account and get this secret key and put it there and then from then on any conversions that happen from one of your quick magic links is going to be it’s going to be tracked perfectly with click magic so you can see this so you totally need this this is absolutely essential and you we went through it in the live master class training so you can go back through that to see like how this all fits together but now you can see the keywords that are tracked the ad ID the match type the the device this is computer and the network this is oh so it’s like original or whatever so it’s owned and operated I don’t know so it’s like Bing Yahoo MSN and then the other one is it would be an S if it came from the syndicated network so really really crucial to have your tracking down so we’re going to a landing page and the important thing is so our ad is gonna have our Clickbank tracking ID right so we can go in here and look at our ads and this is right here is where we put in our click magic tracking link and this is where we tell it to track some some tokens they’re called this is where we tell it like you know while you’re sending the click through our tracking template that and then it’ll eventually land on the landing page also why don’t you give us some information that you have so Bing has the query string which means what search query cause the keyword cause the ad to get clicked on the match type the device it was on the network and the ad ID so those are the ones that I use that I highly recommend so anyways when someone clicks on this ad it’s actually gonna first get passed through our click magic tracking link and it’s gonna get all of this information tacked on to it as well so that’s really good so that’s this stage here it goes it passes through the the tracking link and also another thing that happens is clickmagick is going to generate a unique click ID so each click that happens in clickbait area click magic I know this is confusing gets a unique click ID so it’ll be like a six digit or nine digit number and that unique click ID I think it’s I think it’s this this might be from Clickbank I can’t remember one two three four five six seven eight it might be this number but regardless every single click like we can check this out if I if I click or if I use this click magic tracking I guess I can’t see that well uh we’ll see it as a as a better example here in a second but anyways it generates this this unique ID here it’s generated here now the next stage if you’re using landing page we need the landing page to read this click ID to pick it up from getting passed on from click magic and Bing and then while it reads it on this page it it’s gonna put it somewhere and where it’s gonna put it is where we tell it to put it there’s we’re actually gonna get a code a script from click magic so that anyways we’ll just show you how it works but it’s gonna read the code the unique click ID for that particular click that came from Bing and then it’s gonna pop it in to a hyperlink we have on this button or whatever you want to put it on the pictures whatever you want to link to your affiliate link you’re gonna have to put your this script is gonna pop it in to that link and then when someone clicks on that link then you’re gonna it’s gonna be your affiliate link that you got from like Clickbank and then at the end you’re gonna put a tracking ID or in other networks it might be like s1 like a sub I figured what that’s called but it’ll be like s1 equals and clickbank it’s t ID equals it’s a tracking ID so it’s good now this button is gonna have your Clickbank link and then at the end it’s gonna have like a little question mark equals and it’s gonna have a placeholder and then the script that we put on the landing page is gonna replace the placeholder with whichever unique click ID just came onto the page so it’s gonna be dynamic this is like a programming thing so if click ID one one one comes to the landing page this code on the landing page is gonna swap out any instance of this placeholder code with 1 1 1 and then click ID 1 1 2 comes in and it’s gonna get all the links on the page are gonna get swapped out with 1 1 2 and so forth so 2 1 2 is going to come in to 1 2 is gonna get placed on the link so it’s a dynamic programming thing that’s this is the way that you’re gonna be able to track every single sure transaction at every single sale back to its original click so then your Clickbank link is going to have a t ID of the unique click ID from that particular click and then that’s going to go to the offer and then if that one converts the then Clickbank is gonna send the information back to click magic ins hey you told us to let you know whenever one of your clicks converted and here’s how much it was worth etc etc here’s the and then click magic is gonna match that up with the click ID that was generated you know 1 1 1 1 1 2 etc except it’s like 9 digits long and then it’s gonna go like oh I sent off click 1 1 1 it got some information tacked on to it from bing and I kept track of that I kept the the data from 1 1 1 I know that it was sent from a mobile device it was sent from the syndicated network and it was sent from ad ID you know 0-5 and that’s you know click magic just holds onto that information and then later Clickbank says hey this this this click ID you sent over converted and then it goes oh good old click ID 1 1 1 I know that it came from you know the mobile device blah blah blah and you’re also telling me that it converted into a sale and it made $33 okay great so now I’m gonna put those pieces together and that’s where you see it here so really long way to describe it but let me just show you how to do it it’s actually pretty simple when you see see it happen so the first step is and by the way I’m gonna be using the click magic knowledge bank here you can just search yeah so I think it’s this one how do I pass keyword data to my affiliate offer and then they give you some different methods and we have to get I can’t remember exactly where this is we need to get they they explain all this stuff very well [Music] okay and yet that one hold on a second while I find it all right I found it so the thing you want to search for is can I track keywords using my own landing page now this article so they explain everything really well but I know even I was still intimidated took me a lot of times going through it to figure it out but you can read this you have to set up the postback URL that’s what we already talked about you have to set up you know with Clickbank and click magic and so instant notification URL so that’s already set up let’s say next set up your keyword tracking okay that’s a different thing altogether now the next step pass click ID to your landing page so this is the unique click ID we talked about like 1 1 1 every click that hits one of your tracking links has a unique click ID and this unique ID is track is critical to tracking affiliate sales using post bacc URLs using your own landing page rather than direct linking the key concept to understand is this and any in order for any of this to work you need to pass the click ID from your incoming tracking link to your landing page so that you can eventually pass this same click ID onto your affiliate link via your call-to-action link that’s our button on the page or whatever or you can make it hyperlinks or images if you just set up a second tracking link for your call to action and try to use click MAGIX click ID token and that link nothing will work because all of your keyword data is associated with the original click ID so the next step is a pass a click ID to your primary URL using click magics click ID token just modify your primary URL so it looks like this alright so we’re gonna do that in a second if your URL already has a question mark can you add the click ID using an N sign instead okay so it look like that step 3 add the necessary code to your page this is on our landing page there’s gonna be a little code that clickmagick gives us and that code is gonna say anytime a click ID comes onto the page swap it out swap out all the links on the page with that unique click ID the next step is complete step 1 in the FAQ below and add the necessary code to your landing page that will allow your page to receive the click ID and pass it on to your affiliate link all right so let’s it says click here and and follow only step 1 again just follow step 1 blah blah blah and then yeah also this which we’ll talk about and then maybe the next video if you have multiple pages or some type of funnel set up as opposed to just one simple landing page you will need to add the necessary code to all your pages so the click ID will be available no matter how the user ends up at your final call to action link so we’ll get into that in the next video it’s a little more advanced but here it is here’s the script you just have to copy this and it says add this following sub ID code to the very end of your page just before the closing body tag some page builders call this the footer section not to be confused with the footer footer tags yeah so if you insert this at the top of the body section you need to put it at the bottom of the page ok all right so we’re gonna do that and I believe click funnels there’s a lot of is gonna use it as the footer code as well so let’s let’s put it in the footer we’ll test it out to be sure but save that all right so now if we load this page we should see that code that we just put in so I’m gonna search on the code and it looks like [Music] looks like it is right before the end of the slash body which is the if you insert at the top it won’t load clear work correctly this must be inserted as the as close to the final slash body tag as possible so that’s good that’s exactly where it needs to be right before the end of the body tag so that’s great now so that code is on the page it’s ready to find unique click IDs and pass them on to whatever wherever we put it on the page wherever we tell it to okay so let’s go back to the first one update all of the links in your funnel so we’re gonna have to create a link inside of click magic and let’s we’re creating it for this woodworking product let’s just create a new link clone this link we’re working a LP so we’re working LP landing page create the link okay so it’s got all the same stuff except now this is gonna be different so this is setup for a direct link right to the offer we want to set it up to go to our landing page so we’re gonna take this this is our landing page URL and go back to this and we’re gonna paste that in yeah so pass click ID to land page and so we want it to be question mark si s 1 equals click ID in here so at the end so this is just this is the straight-up URL to our landing page the end of this we want to put question mark s 1 equals click ID s 1 is just a placeholder it has nothing to do with your affiliate network has nothing to do with anything other than just holding the place for clickmagick clickmagick knows what to do with it now the way that you can test this is you can take this tracking ID which is now I’m gonna go in our Bing ad click on it and now we can see some things we can see that it loaded up the landing page with the final URL and then it says question mark s1 equals 7 6 8 9 8 7 0 for 2 this is the unique click ID it’s only been generated one time click magic knows exactly you know it knows some stuff about that unique click ID so if we refresh this you can see it tracked there was a click and if we click on it we can see some stuff you can see my IP address the browser that I use to generate the click where I’m located the timestamp etc now if that clicked were to convert it into a sale then click magic or Clickbank would link up with it and there we go so you can kind of double test this by doing it again and you can see it generates a new unique click ID now the next step is we want this unique code to link up to our affiliate link on this button or wherever we want to put the affiliate link whenever we want people to click and go see the affiliate product that’s where we’re gonna put it so I’m gonna put it on the button and on this image and again if you if you put in your tracking link again it redirects comes up with a new unique and it says s1 equals that so so we’re on our way now I need to go edit the page and now we need our affiliate link so for this we’re using Ted’s Woodworking and we’re gonna grab our affiliate ID alright so this is our affiliate tracking ID now this needs to go on the landing page and we need to you know put it whatever we want people to click and go to the affiliate link now this is the part the next part that’s important is you know when you’re building a Clickbank link maybe if you use this there’s a tracking ID equals whatever so I think I’ll make sure we do this correctly here but this is how Clickbank tracks stuff is the question mark T ID equals s1 well let’s go back to the training and make sure we’re doing this right so we have successfully passed the click ID to our landing page every click that hits one a year tracking links has a unique unique ID blah-blah-blah-blah we already went through that so we’re all good we’ve set this up we added the necessary code to our page which we’ll see is working in a second now this is the part we’re on step 4 update all the links in your funnel if you have one simple landing page that works in your Philly ok ok now this is the step Ron will go back to this one yeah in a second pass click magics click ID to your affiliate link the final step is the past click idea to your affiliate link you can see back here we’ve done this we’ve got the click ID generated we’ve now they’re gonna be landing on the landing page now we need to swap out all the code with with our unique click ID and then go to our affiliate link and then get the offer and so back to here we’ll assume you’re using a clickmagick tracking link for this so you can track the number of people that click through to your offer so just modify the tracking link in your call to action so it looks like this you know I think they updated this training because I never saw that before interesting hold on okay so the older way that I did this and it looks like it’s gotten improved is just to take the this is kind of a little more manual I’ll show you the the new version as well which I actually think you should use but I just want to show you this so you understand how it all works we would put we would get our tracking link from click Bank there’s too many clicks click some things we’d go to our like our landing page paste that in and then it would be [Music] actually let’s paste it in and slash question mark tid equals and then it’s gonna equal s1 equals I think it’s in brackets though hold on just one second yeah this stuff is uh gets pretty confusing but and a lot of times I have to go back and recheck but so just write this down you know in your own notes or maybe I’ll include a checklists for it but just so you remember so I think we need a either question mark and then you need to put the s-1 in brackets so let’s let’s try this out and then you know we’ll fiddle with it and see if we miss the mark so the way to test this is to grab your tracking link from click magic and now we’re gonna test all the pieces here so all right so we got our unique click ID it’s being generated the link here oh it’s saying open pop-up I guess I need to turn that off and click funnels [Music] No goes s one let’s make sure all right so we got the link on the image and button we don’t want this to open a pop-up we want this to go to website URL this is all just its call gonna be similar if you’re using you know whatever landing page builder I’ve done it on several similar process you need click ID generated there is a link here and we can see down at the bottom here it’s got my on the bottom left you can see where it’s gonna go it’s like looks like my hoplink slash t ID equals seven six eight nine eight nine six five two let’s see if it works okay so it successfully went to Ted’s Woodworking that’s good and now we have to check the best way to check is to go to their checkout page to look to see if it’s tracking your click your clickbank ID correctly okay this is looking good you can see down here it’s got my affiliate ID dn new and then it’s got our good friend the unique click ID that was generated so seven eight seven six eight nine eight nine six five two and if we refresh this we can so it’s not it’s saying clicks it’s not saying unique clicks because they’re not unique they’re all coming from my IP so so you have it’s just it’s tracking all these clicks uniquely but one thing you can do again to make sure that it’s working correctly is you can go to your reporting inside of Clickbank and you can go to today’s stats and you can look you can see here now the tracking ID for this is seven six eight nine eight nine six five two and you can see order form impression count equals one so this unique click ID generated an order form so this is all working correctly which is good so now we know it’s all we’ve got unique every single time somebody clicks let’s do it again and we’ll we’ll go through this the whole process again this by the way this tracking ID now this is important it’s gonna go right here we’re gonna leave in all the query string blah blah blah we’re just gonna replace well let’s say for this because it’s a woodworking thing we’re just gonna swap this out and change that so now it’s got a different tracking you are at the beginning it’s still got all that’s not yeah that’s not gonna work because that’s this is for a different landing page but you get the point this is where we put that tracking link and then we leave all this stuff the same and so we know that we have a unique click ID it’s being tracked by Clickbank let’s go through it another time just to again see how it works now someone’s gonna click on the Bing ad which is gonna route through this tracking ID because you put it in your big ad you put it you put it right here so now when people click on this ad first it’s gonna pass through this and then it’s gonna land on the final URL but it’s gonna pass through that and when it does this is what’s gonna happen they’re gonna basically click on this link it’s going to generate a unique click ID that unique click ID is going to be switched out wherever you put s1 so wherever you put [Music] wherever you put equals s1 like s1 in brackets will get swapped out anywhere on the page in this case we’re swapping it out within a link and you can use this for any affiliate product from any affiliate network works the same way you’re just swapping out that code so so it’s been swapped out and now if somebody clicks on this it’s gonna go to the affiliate Network with our unique click ID and then you can track it at least with Clickbank you can scroll down and see it’s generated a new unique click ID still to our affiliate account but this new one is 0 5 4 7 and then if we go back into Clickbank and refresh it we can see 0 5 4 7 1 it generated an order form impression count and so if that makes a sale then that’s gonna get passed on from Clickbank back to clickmagick and say hey you made a sale and then it’ll look like this it’ll have all this information associated with it and that’s how it all works so that’s the whole process kind of confusing but when you go through it a few times it really boils down to just a few steps that you have to repeatedly do now let’s let’s do the little more advanced click magic method that they’re descript recommending here which actually I think it’s a good idea cuz now you can get information between when they click on your ad and when they click on your links like for example if we’re using this landing page we could track we can track differently the people who click on the image versus the people who click on the buttons so what we would do is create two new links let’s just say we’ll clone this link and say Woodworking LP image create a link and then this link is actually queued up you set up a little different now pay attention here this one is not gonna go to our landing page remember this primary you all right now is going to our landing page that would be really weird they would click on the link they would click on our ad go to the landing page and then when they went to click the button they would go back to the same landing page and it would be like an infinite loop no we need to switch this over to the Clickbank product link so we go back here oh yeah grab the affiliate link we could go s1 in brackets let’s see yeah no okay whatever this doesn’t this this doesn’t matter we’re gonna swap this out anyways but we’re gonna grab our affiliate link we’re gonna go back here and we’re gonna paste that in no let’s let’s read we read okay so we set it up like to your CTA tracking link as a sub ID / s1 let’s try this out and T ID equals s1 let’s try this so then we would copy this and for our image we’re gonna track the image clicks we would do that the tracking link / s1 now this is just click magic specific code so let’s try it out I know it’s getting a little confusing on your Berlitz let’s figure it out okay generator unique click ID now here should go through we should have read the alright let’s let’s do it again generate a unique click ID – 0 8 7 so we click on the image and what it should do if we’re doing this correctly is two zero eight seven should show up as the look at that – zero eight seven so now we have different tracking for the image versus the button so you could start seeing that the button is making most of the sales or you know if you try two different images I mean this could get pretty complex pretty fast but you’re gonna this is gonna let you see how many people click from your landing page on your button which is pretty cool so if we wanted to do it for the button as well let’s just run through the process real quick all right so now this is all set up correctly remember NTID is gonna equal s1 that s1 is going to get replaced it’s just a click magic this is different than the first one the first one we want the s-1 to equal click ID that’s the one going to the landing page again if this is all too confusing just go back and use the previous method with just the click Bank link you’ll be fine so now we got the button this is all setup correctly we don’t have to mess with that anymore because we just cloned it and now we go down to our landing page click that paste it in there and then say slash s one click Save now again go back to the original landing page button this is exactly what someone will experience when they click on our Bing ad generate a unique code two six seven nine we’re gonna go down here that’s interesting does it actually change the code we did change that does that actually get swapped out this might be some like ninja clickmagick stuff okay all right let’s go back the original woodworking LP linked to nine nine five okay so now the link in the bottom left says it has our clickmagick tracking code tracked out cool product reviews common LP button / s1 let’s see – nine nine five is our number click on that okay it’s going to the offer that’s good there’s no broken stuff click on Add to Cart ok that’s not what we wanted ah so link / all right so we’re supposed to do slash brackets on those s ones so let’s go back and fix that that means this one probably wasn’t actually correct slash bracket s1 slash bracket s1 [Music] okay now sometimes it takes a minute for click funnels but no oops okay now it’s getting confusing all right original woodworking LP this is what people will click on when they click on here add three four seven three ah so now switched it out so now we got in the bottom left you can see the tracking link from click magic tracked a cool product reviews comment about an LP button / 7 6 8 9 9 3 4 7 3 3 4 7 3 so it swapped it out that code did its job and it swapped it out we clicked on that and now if we click on Add to Cart it should be there it is so it’s got our affiliate ID and 3 4 7 3 it’s getting passed on and some now this LP button is also tracking individual clicks sub ID there we go this is the 1 3 4 7 3 so the sub ID is 3 4 7 3 that’s all good so again this can be confusing but once you do it a few times it’ll start to make sense so this is how to setup click magic tracking links with a landing page
