ad campaign without tracking you will just be wasting money blowing money so you have to set up tracking you have to have conversions tracked and it’s actually really simple to do but a lot of people get it super confused so let me show you right now how to set up conversion tracking on WordPress it only takes a couple minutes doesn’t take any tech savvy really and it’s super simple so yeah just so you know the Nomad Brad and i want to help you build and grow your online businesses so if you’re interested in more information about internet marketing affiliate marketing PPC traffic conversion websites all that stuff then go ahead and give this video a like and subscribe to my channel because i’m gonna be making lots of videos about lots of cool topics like this so all right let’s jump right in so first you have to check out your you know login to your Bing Ads account and then have your WordPress site opened up in the administrator panel the dashboard and then you’re gonna go into Bing and then go down here to conversion tracking so if you read the I don’t know why boat if I read the blogs about being telling you how to do this I got super confused it was like really confusing I don’t know I guess I’m just not smart enough to understand what the hell they’re talking about but once I got it it made a lot of sense so basically a lot of people you might know what a conversion tracking pixel is this is not exactly the same as a tracking pixel basically a lot of platforms like AdWords analytics and Bing are moving over to in Facebook as well they’re moving over instead of having a single pixel that fires on one page when you get a conversion they want to have a tracking code that covers your whole site and then from there you can pick specific goals to choose so it’s not just like a traditional tracking pixel that just fires when somebody converts it’s actually a code that goes on your whole website and then once that is working you can choose which page is your intended goal so if none of that made sense that’s okay if you don’t know what a tracking pixel is that’s totally fine all you have to do is follow these instructions alright so we’re gonna go to a conversion tracking and then we’re gonna go to UET tag so first you have to create a UET tag this is the tag that’s gonna go on every page of your website and just let being you know track what’s going on so they can get better data so we’re gonna call this I’m just gonna do that give it a name give it a description this will be different based on the needs of your business and then I’ve only ever used the JavaScript option so that’s what I’m going to recommend click copy in the weirdest setup process ever thank you Microsoft so copy that if you didn’t see that I click copy and you actually have to select everything in this box click copy again say ok now this might be different if you’re using some sort of theme or something like I am using thrive but most of the time all you’re gonna have to do is go to appearance and then go to editor and there are billions of tutorials out there on the internet showing you how to use WordPress and edit the themes and you know there’s a caution here if you edit your theme improperly you can mess up your whole website etc etc so check check out how to do that and some WordPress tutorials online or something and yeah so you just want to go to the footer and before the end of let’s let’s see what the instructions say paste the uet tracking code in every page a website mm-hmm I guess it doesn’t really say where but basically if you put it in this footer then it’s gonna be on every page of your website so we’re just gonna paste it in right here and now this is the this is the footer on every the page that’s generated by WordPress if you’re using landing pages for some from something else like thrive or ClickFunnels or something then you’re gonna have to set it up separately on those pages but for now so put it before the body tag I think I’m gonna I’m gonna show you how to test this out – in two seconds so I’m gonna click update file okay now you just need to load your website any page on your website and yeah this is I haven’t really built this website out but yeah so then go to any page on your website and then click view page source if you’re in Chrome it’ll be slightly different if using a different browser and then you’re gonna go I should just hit on a Mac you hit command F on PC ctrl F to go find something and then I’m gonna search for Bing yeah okay didn’t work bTW no bad no okay interesting ah it’s because I’m using thrive I think so let me update that but that’s where you would normally put it the theme that I’m using is generated by thrive themes so in my case that doesn’t work but normally if you just look for view page source and then search for Bing you should see that Bing code in there but I’m gonna show you how I would do it here theme options and then analytics and scripts and then analytics and scripts header scripts oh yeah so I have Google Analytics set up and then I’m gonna paste the Bing one in there to go with that okay now a refresh okay cool so now the Bing code is showing up on my website so if you’re not using thrive or another theme maker if you’re just using a basic theme then that should work you just put the tracking code in the footer you can put it in the header I don’t really know the specifics of which one’s better for what reason do some research on that but that’s pretty much that’s gonna put it in every page of your website and if you are using some sort of theme builder within your website then you they might have a special place for analytics codes like thrive does so check out that and see where you should put that or maybe you can ask their support well this is what you’re looking for you want to see that the script shows up on every page of your website and it’ll say bat bing.com slash blabbity blah blah blah and yeah then your tracking code is set up or uu et is set up so that means that Bing can see should theoretically be able to see every page your website and then you’ll want to come back here and check uet tags and just see that this changes to verified I think it can take a little while it can take up to 24 hours for beings to verify so just check back on this go browse around on your webpage go to a bunch of the pages that you want to be tracked for your ads you know your landing pages your Thank You pages etc and just kind of browse around and make and check in the view source to see if the code is showing up and then check back on this within a few hours or maybe a couple days and see if it’s tracking actually this looks pretty cool apparently they have a tracker a uet tracker chrome extension to see before their before their automated system verifies because it can take up to 24 hours you can install this chrome plugin so let me pause the I’ll install this and then we’ll check it out together okay so I just installed the UET tag helper it looks you know just like Facebook has one of these google has one of these they really really want to get up inside your website and track everything so that’s very in their interest to do that and help you do it okay so let’s let’s try this refresh and then I’m gonna click on this tracker welcome to okay click the on click reload this page in the browser browser okay and boom the UET tag is set up correctly so that’s an even faster way of doing it just download this Bing UET tag helper in chrome in the chrome store and then it will tell you if your tag is set up correctly it’ll show you yeah all these different things so that’s all you’ll know that your tracking code is set up correctly within a couple days this will start coming in it will say verified now the next step is we’re going to set up a conversion goal so this is going to be different based on whatever you’re doing if you’re using something like Shopify or ClickFunnels then check out one of my other videos I’m going to show you how to set it up so that Shopify automatically tracks your conversions and all the transaction data back to Bing that’s super helpful there’s a similar process for Google you can search for that as well so if using Shopify or WooCommerce as well checkout look for one of my videos how to set up transaction data because that’s really important to be able to track everything else but if you’re distracting something simple that’s just one event or even if you just have one product that has the same price point at all times then you can just set up conversion like this so you would set up like you know sale or you might set up opt-in if you’re tracking email opt-ins and then you would go to destination URL and then you would go equals and you would put the URL of your thank-you page so you would go like that now if yeah if you’re using a checkout cart system or something you can as long as the code is properly installed on that page then you can set this to whatever your conversion page is and Bing will start tracking that as a conversion so that’s good normally unless you have a lot of if you have an e-commerce store with a lot of different you know each product is worth different things then you’re gonna have to learn how to set this up each conversion conversion without action value may vary this is this is really easy if you’re using Shopify I don’t know exactly how to set this up for WooCommerce but it’s really easy if you use in Shopify look for a video that I made about how to do that otherwise then let’s say you’re just tracking email opt-ins then you’d say don’t assign a value unless you know the value of each opt-in from your lifetime customer value and then this is gonna vary based on your needs as well but usually I think most people want to click unique here that means that if that if one person lands on your webpage then they’re only going to count as one conversion so before sometimes I make the mistake of selecting all so if if somebody lands on your webpage they they convert and then they refresh that thank-you page maybe they want to or they go back to it later they’ll count as a conversion every single time so if you if you know that you need that then go ahead and enable it but most people only want to count one opt-in or one customer or one sale at a time and you want it to be just that one unique thing because this is this can really ruin your data if you track every time somebody refreshes the page sometimes when people buy a product I’ve seen people refresh the page 20 30 times yeah I don’t know what it is too just forget or they keep going back to it or they’re just so excited to get your product or they or they can’t figure out its you know some sort of customer support thing so they refresh the page and every single time they refresh the page it’ll re count as a conversion and that will completely ruin your data because if you’re trying to get you know you’re trying to buy leads let’s say for five dollars a piece well if somebody but but or signed up once but then they loaded it twenty times that’s gonna say that your cost per lead is down to like 50 cents so you’re gonna get really excited and think holy cow I’m on to something this is amazing but really it was just one person reloading the webpage every time so definitely watch out for this and if you don’t know what you need here just go with unique that’s the best way to start and go with don’t assign a value for now you can change all these later you can set up you can set up as many conversion events as you want so you’re gonna have different ones for different landing pages opt-ins purchases etc and then this is up to you to I use days and then go UET tag click Save so now whenever somebody clicks on an ad from Bing so remember the process is they they click on an ad and Bing drops a cookie to start tracking their behavior and then if that person converts into one of these events Bing will register that back in your ads so this is how you’re going to track all of your data and you’re gonna make informed decisions and you’re gonna be able to optimize you’re gonna know you’re gonna know which keywords which ads are performing better and it’s gonna be tied directly to your actual results it’s not going to be based on clicks it’s not gonna be based on cost per click it’s gonna be based on how many people actually convert on your website and that’s exactly what you want so yeah thanks for watching and if you liked this if you want to learn more about how to build and grow your online businesses then hit like hit subscribe and send me a send me some messages comments whatever I’d be happy to hear your questions comments yeah thanks a lot what’s up everybody this is the Nomad Brad and I am about to show you how to set up Bing Ads tracking in your WordPress site why do you want to do this it’s absolutely 100% critical
