hey what’s up guys mmm so in this video I just want to show you how to set up a affiliate funnel using Bing ads where you’re building a list and so that you have all the tracking coming in from you know the ads and the keywords and stuff that makes sales this is really important and it’s kind of a complicated process so I just highly highly recommend that you go into the tracking service you’re using in this case I’m going to show you click magic the one that I use just go into their support contacted there’s their support team if you need to just keep like looking at it until it all makes sense if any of this is confusing but I’m just going to go through the steps and I’m gonna leave it up to you to fill in the gaps if you don’t understand anything so at this point this is the best I can do to explain it it is kind of complicated but if you figure it out then you’ll be able to do something really powerful which is build a list from paid traffic and also you know bridge it to affiliate offers and you know know exactly where your sales your affiliate sales are coming from so this is really powerful and definitely worth taking a couple days to learn how to do so that’s what I did and I want to share you know how it all works so here’s the overall kind of way the funnel looks the search ad the click magic tracking URL this is going to collect the data this is also gonna be where your Bing ads tokens get picked up so the tokens will take the information from your ad the click from being you know Bing will tell you what keyword triggered the ad which ad it was that got clicked on which device the person was on when they when they clicked on the ad etcetera so that gets passed into your click magic tracking URL yeah let me let me just put that in there so that all makes sense being ants tokens as well so this is where they get transferred onto the tracking URL and then the tracking URL will take the visitor wherever you want them to go so in our case we’re going to an opt-in page and then after they see the opt-in page they’ll have the choice to give you their email or not let’s assume that you know a certain percentage of them are going to and then they’re gonna land on the thank you page or in this case I would what I would recommend is directly bridging them to the affiliate offer unless you’re you know email skills are great and you are really going to build a relationship the chance to sell them people sell people to an affiliate offer is going to go down over time in my experience so I would recommend while they’re still really excited and looking for this thing just go ahead and collect them their leads so you can you know follow up with them through these emails and try to get them to sell again you know long term you could build it up into a pretty big asset boom but right away just send them to the offer so I’ll show you a kind of you know bare-bones example of this kind of page and then so they’ll click on the call to action here maybe you put a video or an image or something to get them excited maybe some lines of text copy to get them excited to go the affiliate offer and to get whatever you’re promising you know on the opt-in page that’ll come in their email so then you send them off to the affiliate offer and then if they purchase if we set off all the tracking right then your clickmagick stats are going to register back to your clickmagick account and then you all of this data will be you know collected and you’ll know exactly which keywords in the beginning led to not only opt-ins but to affiliate sales so hopefully that makes sense and let’s let’s get into the steps here so here’s all the things you’re going to need you’re gonna need a Bing ads campaign you’re gonna need an affiliate product to promote you’re going to need clickmagick in this case I mean you can use whatever solution you use but I’m only gonna you know teach clickmagick cuz that’s all I use so you’ll have to figure that out mmm the process for your tracking software on your own and make sure it’s integrated with your affiliate Network in this case we’re gonna use a Clickbank product to show so make sure click magic and Clickbank are talking to each other so that every time you make a Clickbank sale click magic register is it you’re gonna need an opt-in page and a Thank You page doesn’t matter you know whether that’s on WordPress HTML if you use a landing page builder like click funnels builder all etc and then on the on at least one page you’re gonna need this code that clickmagick uses that is going to do some magic stuff and then of course you’re gonna need your affiliate link so again I’m gonna recommend that you check out the the articles in click magic just read all of them that are related to passing affiliate links they each kind of teach you something else but you know affiliate link autoresponder this is a good one that teaches how can I pass my affiliate links to an autoresponder you bet you they teach about query strings they’re going to teach you about these s12 s5 things we’re going to talk about this is a really good video how to pass a click ID through your funnel pages this is the code the the JavaScript that I talked about this is where you get this so you know it might change from what’s in this video but always refer back to the documentation of the software so this is where you’re always gonna get the code this is you’re gonna figure out how their software tracks things so alright so we got all that again just to highly recommend you go research this on your own once you get the overall picture here so step one you’re gonna create an opt-in page now I’ve already got one this is just you know for demonstration I just want to show you the basic template so I’m going to use this isn’t one that I created specifically for the topic or whatever it’s not it’s it’s one that I use in my digital you know marketing teaching business so I’ve used it it’s gotten a lot of leads gotten a lot it works really well but I’m not recommending you use this so this is the you know the opt-in in this niche it works really well this is something that’s really appealing so you so for whatever niche the product you’re promoting is in you’re gonna have to find your own equivalent of something that people would be willing to give you their email address for so that’s the first page and you’re gonna need to know the URL of that page and click funnels this is where you find it is this you know final URL that’s gonna happen after everything resolves so that’s we got that page created you’re gonna have to create a Thank You page I’ll show you an example of that as well again this is a you know funnel in a specific niche and it worked really well so but but generally this is a pretty good template to follow so you know keep it focused you can see you know here’s our video bridge to the next thing we want them to do which is a big button so if you kind of keep you know you take out the the logo if you want and move it all up a bit but you just say you know some sort of big headline some sort of small headline and then maybe a video if you want if you don’t want to you could just use maybe an image that helps to get them excited for the thing that the affiliate offer you’re promoting promises and then have a big button so it’s like very obvious what to do next so that’s gonna be all up to you and to your testing and what you’re willing to try so just make the button real big so that’s an example of a Thank You page slash bridge page now in this video we explained you know what you get with your opt-in and all that stuff so if you’re gonna send it to them in their email you might want to say congratulations your report is on the way or your free video series or whatever is on the way in the meantime you should really check this product out so that’s a classic you know affiliate bridge page slash Thank You page so you’re gonna need that the next thing is you’re going to need to install the click magic JavaScript code on your Thank You page so again there’s a link to an article here I think I think I’m gonna put this this Google Doc you know somewhere below this video or whatever so we need that special javascript code and I put it in the doc but always check with clickmagick first and what this code does is it just I mean I’m not a I’m not a coder so I can’t really explain it all technically but it just like looks through the code of the page when it when it loads and it will replace certain oops it will replace certain specific like strings of text with a dynamic click ID so whenever you use a click link from clickmagick it gets the click gets a special ID associated with it that’s how you know all the tracking works out it’ll get coded you know every time there’s a click it gets a unique click ID so it’ll be like three one five seven two zero and now what this magical javascript code is gonna do is you’re gonna put in something like a placeholder a specific place holder that clickmagick uses and then so in this case it’s going to be like CM equals s one I’ll show you that in a second and now this code every time that this page loads it’s gonna scan through with whatever’s on the page and it’s gonna replace any instance of CM underscore s1 with the unique code so again I think it’ll make more sense when you see me do it but you need this code it’s always gonna be the same code and you just need it to be on the last page in your funnel so in this case the last page is the opt-in page or the Thank You page sorry so this is the code I’ve already pasted in here in click funnels you just go into the header code in tracking go to Settings tracking code just paste it down there somewhere so once you got that on your landing page you’re your final thank-you page then that part is set now the next thing is you’re gonna need get your affiliate link you know in this case we’re using click clickbank so you would click on a thing and say promote and then you would choose which which version of their final landing page you want to use and then I always just put a little place holder here so we can replace it in a second you’ll see why so this is the code this unique click ID code for a Clickbank product this is gonna be different for other affiliate networks so you know but it’ll be the same general process you’re gonna get a special unique affiliate tracking code tracking link so the next step is to create a click magic tracking link and what you’re gonna want to do is put in the URL of your opt-in page as a primary URL and then you’re gonna insert this special code that’s just for click magic to make it all work question mark CM underscore s 1 equals click ID so here we see you know the final URL of our opt-in page the first page first page of the funnel so it’s okay come on this page this is the page that we need the URL of so in this case and click funnels it’s going to be this URL and now we go to click magic and we create a new link oops create a new link and you know it’s gonna be whatever like we’re gonna promote a weight loss thing so use your this is all up to you you know use your own system here but this is the final landing page thing landing page URL that’s gonna be our primary URL and now we need to go add question mark cm underscore s 1 equals click ID with brackets so we’re gonna put that here ok so make sure there’s no spaces by the way that’s the way this kind of code stuff works and now what this is gonna do this is gonna say alright every time somebody clicks on my click magic link it’s gonna take them to this page but also at the end we want to add question mark cm underscore ass one so click magic has a system which please read about it on click magics thing where you can use different sub IDs and so it goes s1 through s4 you can use it to do all sorts of advanced stuff but this is really all I’ve ever used it for CM underscore s1 so far equals bracket click ID bracket so this is where click magic is gonna generate that unique click ID right so it’s gonna be like 7 5 3 2 6 5 and that’s gonna no you know it’s gonna store all the data that it can about that click ID it’s gonna take the tokens that Bing gave it about hey this was on a you know Android device in this country at this time and that’s in click match it’s gonna be like alright now I I’m gonna keep track of the fact that the click that came from that IP address that add that blah blah blah blah is coded to number 8 7 & 5 3 6 2 what so that’s going to get put here dynamically all right so that’s this step now on the next step is on our thank-you page we’re gonna put links however you want to put links and then we’re gonna do something special there so first let’s create this link now we can find it I think it’s called weight loss so now this is our tracking link and if you just if you want to test it out real quick you can put it in and we can see some of the things that I’m talking about here so you can see now we’ve got the final URL Digital monoxide blah blah slash opt-in question mark cm underscore s1 equals and now this is the click ID eight nine seven one eight zero seven four three and if we were to do it again it would give us a new unique click ID so it’s being stored in the question mark CM equals eight nine seven blah blah blah blah okay so that’s all good it’s working as intended now the next step on the Thank You page insert button or links with question mark tid equals now this is going to use the placeholder and that magic JavaScript code is going to know hey you you put CM underscore one and the code is going to replace that with the unique ID now this part question mark tid equals that’s only four click bank okay so every affiliate network is gonna have their own sub ID nomenclature is the fancy word to say it the way that they set up their sub IDs some of them are going to use question mark s1 s2 you know check with your affiliate Network but with Clickbank it’s question mark T ID equals now where does this link go it goes on the Thank You page so we’re gonna go to the Thank You page now wherever we want to put a link like you can make anything a link you can make text the link you can make images a link you can you know I recommend using big buttons wherever you want to put a link this is how you’re gonna set it all up the first thing is you need your affiliate you need your affiliate ID or your unique affiliate link right so this is I’m gonna put a placeholder in here for a second and then I’m gonna generate the hop link this for Clickbank copy the hop link and we’re gonna go to the Thank You page and we’re gonna paste in the hop link but instead of see right now because I use that little filler thing it says let me get rid of this for a second alright so this is what we would have just paste it in and it says in question mark question mark tid equals F F I put in F F as the filler but instead of F F we want to put bracket cm underscore s 1 bracket that’s what we want to put in there so I’m gonna copy this go to the end here replace it with I can’t remember I think that I don’t know if that matters or not but we’ll see okay so question mark tid tid equals cm those last one now if you want to add more links to the landing page we’re gonna save this you can make text you know same thing and you keep that as CM equals s1 now that link is gonna go to the affiliate offer – so that’s how you do that all right next thing again that’ll be different if you’re not using Clickbank if you’re using any other affiliate network it’s gonna have its own little thing but the the question marks CM equals s one thing is is always going to be the same because that’s on the click magic side alright so the next thing is to test the click ID passing so you’re gonna copy and paste your click magic tracking URL into your browser opt-in to the landing page and you look to see if a click magic click ID is present in the in the URL then hover over the button and see if it is transferred to the button link okay so copy and paste your click magic tracking URL and we’re going to paste it and now we’re gonna opt-in okay so we are going to check to see if when you hover over this button which might be hard to see when you hover over this button it should say question mark tid equals and then it will use the unique click ID and it’ll be different every single time somebody clicks on that link so I can see that it does appear to be working so let me see if it loads okay it is loading the affiliate offer correctly now there’s one more check and you can do that for all the all the links on here you know I see this one’s correct this one’s correct you and then you what I always want to do is double you know quadruple triple check that everything’s following all the way through so next is your gonna test the Clickbank order page to pass to see if it’s all passing through to see if it registers properly to your affiliate account and registers the unique click ID okay so in this case you’re gonna like you know you can watch the video or you can just kind of just sometimes I’ll have a text page this is on Clickbank specifically but whatever however you want to do it you want to click on the order button so that you go to the order page and down at the bottom scroll down and see make sure that you can see that your affiliate ID dot your unique click ID is present so this looks like it’s tracking correctly so it’s all set up now the last step is to make sure that those Bing ads tokens are being tracked as well one one additional thing you can do just to make sure the whole system is functioning properly is just look at the links inside of clickmagick as you’re generating them just make sure that they’re you know matching up with you know the data that you’re passing so you know show it’ll only be the one unique click you know because it’s all coming from you but just make sure like yeah it’s registering all that stuff now look yeah so the last step is to we want to add token tracking to being as so there’s a couple different ways to do it I used to do it this way I’m trying out doing it this way so the difference is that this one it kind of shows all in one it all shows and clickmagick shows all this data the query string that was used to trigger the add the match type of the keyword that triggered the add the device that it you know the ad was clicked on the network being either you know the Bing network or the syndicated network and the ad ID I kind of like it because it’s all in click magic it’s really easy to glance you don’t have to like do a lot of data mining stuff but this one it puts it all into separate sub IDs so if you don’t know what I’m talking about don’t worry about it just just pick one of these and do it I would just start with this one this one is going to be easiest to start with but if you know what I’m talking about then I think this one might be the better way going forward the only problem is you have to use a lot of Excel you know data analysis but that’s pretty normal with you know paid traffic usually you get really good with data with spreadsheets and stuff like that so I’m gonna try this going forward so let’s let’s go ahead so now we need to go into Bing ads now I’ve got an ad here if you haven’t done this before it doesn’t make any sense so listen I’ve had so many people not listen to this listen okay you need to get an ad approved first before you can add a tracking link I don’t know why what’d you just do so get your ad approved going to your landing page right so you’re gonna first the first place you’re gonna get your ad approved too is this page you know your opt-in page so that’s what you’re gonna like send them to because they Bing the way this works it’s called a final URL this needs to be after all redirecting all that stuff this is where they need to land for it to be a valid campaign to Bing so they need to see that this person’s going there whenever whatever you put in here that’s gonna be the last place they end up they can get passed through tracking links but they need to end up here okay now the next thing once you get this ad approved they’re gonna look at your landing page and make sure it’s you know compliant and all that stuff you’re gonna hit save now immediately after you get it approved that’s or immediately after you submit it you don’t have to wait for it to get approved but immediately after you submit it you can edit the ad okay now you’re gonna click on the edit button now there’s gonna be options to put a tracking template in so that’s where we’re gonna put our all the stuff that we just did this is essential you need to do this okay so the tracking link is this one the tracking URL being calls it tracking you our town template but you’re going to take this tracking link and you’re gonna put it here okay now that is gonna redirect and land on you know this page whatever you put in there on your opt-in page now to track to to actually use all this stuff we need to do this last piece which is to get to properly track the Bing ads tokens if you don’t know what being on snow cones are there a way that being allows you to gather extra info information about your clicks that they know about and pass it to somewhere else so in this case we’re passing it to click magic click magic is going to store it and it’s gonna link it up to those unique click IDs and it’s going to say hey this click ID which generated this much money was linked to a click that came from an Android device at this time Bob so this is the last piece and it’s critical now we’re gonna take this this is my recommendation recommended use of Bing ads tokens that are the most useful to me in my opinion other people may have other opinions they might teach other ways that’s fine it’s just mine you can rearrange these if you want you can look at some of the other tokens to see if you’d rather you know get that information but these are just the ones that work best for me and in this order okay so you can copy that go back to your ad and then paste that at the end so make sure there’s no spaces here so you have your tracking link and then slash and then you start with all of your being tokens so that’s the last piece sometimes this says page not found and I don’t know it doesn’t really I don’t really think it I don’t think that’s something to be concerned with now maybe maybe there is no I think this should be fine one thing I like to do again just another last check is to put all of that into the URL and see what happens right so it takes us to our landing page takes us to a Thank You page it go it all works it all goes through it loads the affiliate network with my affiliate ID cool and then we can check and click magic again to see that now this last click it has sub IDs right so if you hover over it it’s gonna its tracking now the the reason it’s not showing any actual data is because I’m clicking on it from I’m not clicking on it from the Bing side I’m not a user on the Bing Network who saw the ad and clicked on it organically I’m just on my computer so click magic is paying attention and looking for all these tokens it’s just that being hasn’t passed them because I didn’t click on this through Bing if that make since but the only way to test this is just let it run for a while and get some real clicks and just make sure that it’s properly tracking all this stuff again the disadvantage to this method where all the sub IDs are parsed out into their own sub ID it’s pretty cool it’s pretty organized the only thing is you have to use spreadsheets so to track it all so I’m going to try it out for a while and see if I like it better the other way it was easier to see everything but it would kind of some of the information would get cut off sometimes so ultimately this is probably a cleaner way to go I just you know spreadsheets so so this will show the query string of you know what people typed into the ad to get to click on it it’ll show the match type was it a broad match phrase or exact it’ll show the device the network and the ad ID so that’s all looking good and then the last the last test really is just submit the ad switch out your tracking link click Save and just see what happens you know maybe they disapprove here at ok we’ll go back to see why they didn’t approve it you know talk to them or just try to approve another one get another one approved based on what the thing they said you violated or maybe you can you know you start getting clicks in Bing but they’re not showing any data in clickmagick so you have to go through and make sure you didn’t miss any of these things but mmm as of right now this looks like it should work the last piece is just running real traffic from the Bing network to test it well this won’t work because this is an old that’s an old thing but I didn’t actually submit it I don’t really want them to review that landing page that I put because it doesn’t actually met up with match up with the keywords and I don’t want to put a get a strike against me on compliance you know so all right so the I will put this this checklist I guess below the video somewhere and again I know it’s not the most like you know fully comprehensive guide but it’s the best I can do right now and I think you know if you just if it’s hard to understand just go through it a few times also like I said please go look at this this article at the very least can I pass data to my affiliate links and go watch this video how to pass a click ID through your funnel pages they explained it really really well really nicely really slow they explained that what is the CM underscore s1 what are those what are those mean and how do they work they explain how it works with Clickbank you can see this here so it’s you know this is really really thorough really good and sometimes you know it takes they show pictures they’ve got videos and then you can take that and you should be able to breeze through these steps pretty quickly once you understand how it all works alright thanks for watching and I will see you in another video
