what’s up everyone it’s the nomads Brad and today I’m gonna show you how to choose Clickbank products to promote on Bing ads so let’s hop right into it alright so if you don’t know what Clickbank com is I’m sure if you’re watching this video you probably do but if you don’t it’s a huge marketplace with lots of digital products mostly information based products they also sell physical physical products as well but the main thing about Clickbank is that they’re pretty much the easiest affiliate marketing program to get into they have thousands of products listed there making sales every single day lots of the vendors have made millions and millions of dollars selling mostly digital products so it’s a really good place to get started for a new affiliate marketer and another thing that’s really great about Clickbank is that it pairs up really nicely with Bing ads the reason is that a lot of Clickbank products are about a very specific niche as you can see on the left there are dozens of categories that are very specific to a particular niche so if you click on parenting and families then you’re going to get a list of products that are catered to the parents and families niche and the great thing about pairing that with Bing ads is that Bing ads is a search engine based PPC marketing platform that’s number one so basically search engine marketing is great for niche products because the people that are searching for those search phrases are looking for in a solution to a specific problem there are other types of products that sell well on other advertising platforms for example in the e-commerce space it’s really easy to get started with Facebook Ads because the e-commerce products are typically sold with a visual element and with it’s it’s usually something that you didn’t know you needed until you see a picture so that’s why you know a lot of the Shopify stores do well with Facebook ads but for solving a problem that people are looking for an answer to you there’s no better place than a search engine obviously AdWords is a great place to go and it’s the biggest search engine on the planet but Bing is amazing because it’s really cheap comparatively to Google and it’s really easier to get landing pages and things like that approved Google is pretty strict on who they allow to show ads on their on their platform and you know a lot of people have had troubles with that so I always recommend starting with Bing ads first it’s a great place to get tons of traffic they’re real customers real buyers that you couldn’t have coming to your website even if you don’t even have a website right now you can have a website visitors to your website that are ready to buy and they’re looking for a very specific solution to a very specific problem that one of these products may solve and you can have those people coming to your website literally within a couple of hours if you set up your your Bing ads campaign so let me show you though how to evaluate Clickbank products for every category there are all these different crazy numbers and stuff so I used to work for what was at the time the number one product on Clickbank so I have quite a lot of experience understanding this marketplace and you know mostly from the other side I was dealing with people promoting our products so yeah I got lots of lots of experience with this so here are some of the things to look for in a product obviously you know when in any given niche you want you probably think you should start at the top which is not a bad idea the top products convert better than the ones down below so there are different different ways you can rank though so there’s popularity average dollar per sale and if initial dollars per sale average percent of sale average rebill total average percent rebuilt and gravity the one that I like to sort by is by gravity so gravity is a number that Clickbank basically has made up it’s it’s a calculation and they it’s a proprietary algorithm that they use to try to highlight the products that are going to convert the best why do they do that because if people are converting are promoting the products that convert the best the most often they’re gonna make the most money because basically they take a commission of every single product sold so they want people to know what the top converting products are and move them to the top so that’s why Clickbank uses this gravity metric alright so getting right back into things the gravity metric basically tells you how many affiliates have made money in the last 12 weeks promoting this product now this this number is a little deceptive so when you look at a gravity of say 39 you might think oh 39 sales in the last 12 weeks that doesn’t seem very promising but in fact this number is a little hard to understand because it’s not a linear number it’s an exponential number I’m not even positive I’m using those words correctly but basically for every one of these affiliates they could be making hundreds of sales a day so when I worked for the number one product on Clickbank a few years ago our top affiliates would be making most of the sales it’s really crazy if you know the 8020 principle it’s actually true our top affiliate would make about 80% of the sales and that single affiliate would probably you know at the time would be making dozens to a hundred sales a day and then all of our other thousands and thousands of affiliates they would each you know they would go it’d be making anywhere from zero to one sale a day but then you know after the top affiliate then the next one might be might make thirty sales a day or twenty sales a day and so forth and it would go down in a sort of exponential way so this number is a little deceptive a gravity of actually a thirty nine is actually really really good because over the last 12 weeks thirty nine different affiliate accounts have made money from this product so this is a really good product to promote now the one thing that there there are a couple elements to gravity face sorry Clickbank also says that they wait the recency of sales higher so it’s not an exact it’s not exactly a score of one for every one affiliate affiliates that haven’t made a sale in a while get a lower number rating so it’s heavily weighted toward recency and amount of affiliates so I know that’s a little complex but basically the big thing the big myth to dispel is when you’re looking through products you know you might look at something that has a gravity of five and think oh there’s no way I’m not gonna promote this crappy product but the advantage of going down in the from the top down to the bottom is that it gets easier and easier to promote these products because a lot of other people are thinking the exact same way if you’ve ever looked at these listings and thought I’m not gonna promote that product it’s only got a gravity of whatever then there are probably thousands of people who have thought the same thing and the thing is out of this gravity of 10th see our excuse me out of this gravity of 10 one of those people could have made a hundred sales you know they could have made three thousand dollars from this particular product but they still only get counted as a score of up to one so these numbers the gravity number is a little deceptive I would still well it works in the other way too so let’s if let’s go to like page nine so all of these have gravity of zero I wouldn’t try promoting a product that has gravity of zero because I mean zero people have made a sale in the last twelve weeks that’s pretty bad same thing you know with the lower numbers the the reason the thing is the products at the top have the most competition as well so you may be competing with some of the best marketers in the world the people who really have click Clickbank figured out they’re obviously going to be promoting the offers at the top so if you click here and take away you know we’re not looking in any of the categories anymore just straight up the top products on Clickbank and you can either sort sort by gravity or by popularity so you can look at let’s go by gravity the top product on Clickbank right now for gravity which is 223 so 223 different affiliates have made money in the last 12 weeks promoting numerologist calm so that’s a really high converting thing the next one 202 202 so these are all really high converting products in their niche but if you’re just getting started out I would suggest trying to pick one of these niches that isn’t necessarily at the top so let’s go to well so go to green products let’s see how their stats look okay so this battery reconditioning course this thing has a really high gravity that was one of the top ten as well this here’s a gravity of 50 that’s pretty good there’s a gravity of 49 30 23 so I generally say anything about 20 is something worth looking at the other thing is that these products since they’re in different niches you know they could be really easy for you to target so you may have a special knowledge in one of these niches or a passion or hobby that could allow you to write better for example on your if you’re creating landing pages to write better copy on your landing pages to write you know better you could write a better lead magnet to get people to opt-in to your list etc so there are lots of different niches you want to look in the different niches and just find a perfect combination of good gravity so look for 20 or more gravity and just know that the the highest gravity ones especially the the offers on the top 10 are going to have the most competition so everybody’s you know probably going to be bidding for those keywords or those those products that doesn’t mean you can’t make money though they’re also the best converters so it’s just up to you do you want to deal with competition or would you rather carve out a small niche and start from there if you’re completely just starting out then I would suggest starting out with a small niche especially one that you might have some sort of insight into like you might understand the market or something like that so the really cool thing about Clickbank is that almost all of these offers have a an affiliate page so when you’re evaluating offers to promote and by the way it’s really easy to get your link to promote you just click on this this link and then you put your account nickname that you’ll have when you create your account so if you don’t have a Clickbank account I’ll put a link below the video to create one and it is an affiliate link so I might get it like a tiny Commission if you end up making sales so thank you for the support and then you will create tracking IDs to have you know better idea where your sales are coming from so that’s really easy that’s literally once you’re signed in you literally just click on promote and it will create a link for you and you just put that link inside your emails or on your landing pages whatever but the other important thing here is I just clicked on this affiliate page and this these affiliate pages are really important because they give you a good overview of the market what the market responds to they explain their Commission structure of their offers they tell you they they offer you a lot of affiliate tools so a lot of them offer you can email swipes so if you’re building an email list they will give you emails to send out that promote their product pre-sale articles if you want to put articles on a blog alternative landing pages if you have different requirements for you know no exit pop-up or whatever social media images for social media marketing banner ads powerful powerful hooks and crafting now I do know the one thing you always want to look for when you’re using Bing to promote these products is some people don’t allow you to compete them on being I actually think this product specifically is one of those so I don’t remember let’s see click to get the affiliate tools okay yeah right here it says affiliates are not permitted to buy any traffic on Google or Bing search click to review our complete rules before promoting this is not common most people don’t have this rule this is just this particular yeah says no Bing marketing so that just means that they’re probably really good at promoting on bing and so they just don’t want any competition at all so you know make sure to look for that but let’s look at some other affiliate products and see what their affiliate pages look like so sometimes they’re not linked so you’ll just have to paste the links in yourself build a container so they have their sales page product analytics payout affiliate tips keywords so some of them will actually give you keywords that you can use which is really awesome they give you already articles you can put on a blog if you’re using that for a landing page some of them give you tips and [Music] hmm do not think that Google is the only profitable split tension yeah so they give you some here’s some keywords to get you started so if you don’t know how to do keyword research I’m gonna show you a little bit now so this is they give you some some emails if you’re building a list there they’ve got tested emails so they’ve done a lot of the marketing already to their list and to build up the customers that they do have so this is really awesome you might you don’t even have to necessarily understand the niche if you can line up the right keywords and then build a list of people and then send them these emails you can make conversions without even knowing anything about the niche here’s some graphics build a container home so interesting yeah so this this is a great example of a okay so they have an affiliate link to another product that may or may not help you with conversions I don’t know you can also join their email list they’ll send you updates when they do launches or whatever keywords did we already okay that’s all just here so this is their list of keywords so let’s take this list and then we’re gonna go into Bing and this is the keyword planner inside of Bing ads if you’re not familiar I’m gonna paste those keywords in there and click search now it’s given us a list of keywords and this is where you know understanding keyword research really comes in handy but some things to look for is the suggested bid this is not an exact suggested bid it’s just kind of a general suggestion and also average monthly searches so one issue you’ll find when you’re trying to promote Clickbank products is some niches just really aren’t super popular on bing they’re just they’re just not the kind of thing that people go and search for but a lot of the a lot of the niches are especially like health related stuff is very good for search engines people go to search engines all the time to search for solutions to their health problems and also things that are just really weird niches that somehow get a lot of searches like I don’t I’ve never you know looked into container homes but if you’re into container homes you’re probably like yeah five thousand four hundred ninety people just on bing so that means there’s even more people on Google search for the something related to container homes box house that’s another one so the keywords they gave us are container home container house shipping container house etc and what you can do is just double check that there are a lot of searches which there are for this one there’s thousands of people searching for these things and to be honest these suggested bids are quite low so you’ll see for some niches that suggested bids will be you know several dollars or whatever now you usually you don’t have to pay the suggested bid this this suggested bid to get on page one of Bing but you don’t necessarily have to do that you can still make money not paying the suggested bid but these are pretty low so you just have to find out you know which of these things would people respond to for this particular product build a container home so one one thing you also want to do is open up the sales page and check it out so this says who else wants simple step-by-step plans to design and build a container home from scratch this is a very very specific market there are many benefits to container homes okay comprehensive up to date so the number of people who want to get plans to build their own container home is probably very small but they’re very focused so that could make it a really good option to promote this product on search engine PPC specifically on bing because the audience that looks for these keywords is already they already know what they want so some of these key words you know cost I would probably not target that you know this one is a broad one so I might go ahead and target that [Music] DIY shipper shipping container home all these are very possible kits build shipping container homes okay that only has twenty searches but I bet some of these people would be contained within this broad broad match storage container homes let’s just put that one phrase in their storage container home sale yeah this seems like a very specific niche now how much traffic you’ll actually get when you set up the campaigns you never know until you try but it looks pretty good from the the numbers I’m seeing there’s over a thousand people searching for it and you only have to pay when somebody clicks on your ad that’s what PPC pay-per-click marketing is all about so you’ll know that they’re at least somewhat interested now a lot of people wonder can you direct link to this page and to be honest I don’t really know the legal rules or the Terms of Service rules I just know as a general practice that it’s safer and generally better to build your own landing pages on your own domain and then send those people from your domain and then you use your your it’s called a hop link this link here click on promote you put in your account nickname it’ll spit out a link and and then you will use that link like say you have a landing page that has a video or a picture of a building someone building a container home and then a button below that says want to build your own container home click here to learn the secrets and the cool thing is you know on this sales page they’re already giving you the tips that work for this niche so 23 different affiliates in the last 12 weeks have made sales of this product and so that’s pretty good again one of those affiliates could have made fifty or a hundred sales they could have they could be making crazy money from this it’s kind of hidden within that gravity number it’s forty seven dollars every time somebody buys so you know if you understand the basics of AD buying you have 47 dollars up to 47 dollars to spend per click or pour per acquisition for sale to make sale so up to 47 dollars to make a sale and then you’re profitable if use if you make a sale anything less than forty seven dollars consistently then you’re making a profit now the second half after you’ve selected your product these are the different things to consider you can obviously look at these different options here some of them may or may not appeal to you you can filter results by gravity so you can start at least ten or at least twenty and then maybe you don’t want to go after the super high competition ones right now so you can just filter it out like that so this is a gravity of 50 and you also want to look at the average sale there’s some products that only sell for a couple dollars you know those won’t those will be really hard to convert with being traffic so I would suggest starting with a product that sells for at least thirty to forty dollars preferably something more so you’ll find plenty of matches for that it’s just you’re gonna line up all these factors one the you know the average payout like if you’re trying to sell a ten dollar product it’s gonna be really hard to make that work with Bing traffic but forty dollars you can make work forty plus dollars you can make work and some of them will have recurring that called rebuilds where every month they’re you know some of the people are gonna take a rebill and so every month you’ll get a percentage of that commission and most of these places most of these offers give you seventy five to fifty percent of the sales so this one’s seventy five percent of forty seven dollars so on average people make about forty dollars so that makes sense so I’d start with a product that’s at least thirty dollars that has a gravity of least twenty and is in a really small specific niche because you know if you’re going after weight loss or whatever those are just huge and itches with all the best marketers in the world going after them and sure you can give it a shot if you want but I personally if you’re just starting out start with something a little more niche you know especially with the nature of being ads you can really laser target your keywords so that you’re only targeting the people who are already looking for a solution to this problem
